Abstract: A cylindrical contact-type microphone relates to the technical field of audio devices, and solves the technical problem of inconvenient assembly of an existing contact-type microphone. The microphone comprises a shell, and a circuit board (4), a piezoelectric ceramic sheet (2), a lower-stage connection plate (3) and a conductive polar ring (5) which are mounted within the shell, wherein the shell is a two-section cylindrical conductive cylinder body, and a negative signal lower connection sheet of the lower-stage connection plate (3) is electrically connected to a step (13) at a joint portion of an upper cylinder section (11) and a lower cylinder section (12) of the shell.

Abstract: An enclosure for a speaker transducer can have a front housing member and a rear housing member. Some enclosures position the speaker transducer between the front housing member and the rear housing member, and spaced apart from the rear housing member to define a rear chamber positioned between the speaker transducer and the rear housing member. The rear housing member can define a longitudinal axis. A first waveguide member and a second waveguide member can be longitudinally spaced apart from each other to define an acoustic waveguide therebetween oriented transversely relative to the longitudinal axis. A port can acoustically couple the acoustic waveguide with the rear chamber. A cross-sectional area of the waveguide can expand radially outward of the port. And, the acoustic waveguide can extend circumferentially around the longitudinal axis more than 90-degrees. Some embodiments include a speaker transducer and are suitable as a headphone.

For stress-free mounting of the transducer element, a flexible connecting element is proposed, which is pliable and/or compressible, is arranged between the transducer element and the upper part and connects the transducer element to the upper part. The connecting element comprises a plastic, in which gas bubbles are distributed, the gas bubbles having a volume fraction of between 50 and 98% in the connecting element.

Abstract: A portable speaker assembly includes a first shell that may insertably receive an electronic device. The second shell is comprised of a rigid material to protect the electronic device from impact damage. An audio unit is coupled to the case to emit audible sounds outwardly from the case. The audio unit is in wireless electrical communication with the electronic device thereby facilitating the audio unit to receive an audio signal from the electronic device.

Abstract: An audio demonstration kit encourages understanding of audio concepts by enabling children to construct and study speaker performance. In a particular example, the audio demonstration kit includes a paper speaker and instructions. The paper speaker includes a backplate, a suspension, and a diaphragm cut from a single sheet of paper. The demonstration kit may feature an amplifier that is configurable to accommodate various hardware additions as a child is ready for more progressively challenging construction. For example, the amplifier of an example allows single and dual mode operation, as well as drives a rotary motor and is coordinated with a strobe light. The amplifier of an example is synchronized with the strobe light and a moveable platform to create the impression of that jiggling figures attached to the table are dancing. Interfaces with smart phone, recording, and other technologies further enhances and encourages the learning experience.

Abstract: A first sound is output by a first transducer in an earcup located at a pinna. Respective second sound based on the output of the first audio sound is detecting by each of one or more microphones in the earcup located at the pinna. Based on the respective detected second sound, a non-linear transfer function is determined which characterizes how sound is transformed via the pinna. A signal indicative of one or more audio cues for spatializing third sound is generated based on the determined non-linear transfer function.
