Abstract:
A system for dispensing liquid material with different configurations of air assisted fiberization or filament movement (e.g., meltblowing, controlled fiberization). In particular, front access for mounting a selected nozzle only requires adjustment of one lever and one fastener. Features of the lever and nozzle allow assisted ejection of the nozzle, even when the nozzle has become adhered to a die body through use. In addition, a nozzle mounting surface of the die body provides a universal interface to the various types of nozzles. An air cavity in the die body and air troughs in selected types of nozzles balance and adjust air flow.
Abstract:
A liquid dispensing module and nozzle or die tip for discharging at least one liquid filament. The nozzle includes a wedge-shaped member having a pair of side surfaces converging to an apex. A liquid discharge passage extends along an axis through the wedge-shaped member and through the apex. The wedge-shaped member extends in a radially asymmetrical manner around the liquid discharge passage. Four air discharge passages are positioned at the base of the wedge-shaped member. At least one air discharge passage is positioned adjacent each of said side surfaces and each of the air discharge passages is angled in a compound manner generally toward the liquid discharge passage and offset from the axis of the liquid discharge passage.
Abstract:
The present invention is a coating unit for applying a coating solution on a substrate, comprising: a container enclosing the substrate; a casing for accommodating the container therein; a supply device for supplying a predetermined gas into the casing; a first exhaust pipe for exhausting an atmosphere inside the container; a second exhaust pipe for exhausting an atmosphere inside the casing; a first adjusting device which is disposed in the first exhaust pipe, for adjusting a flow rate of an atmosphere passing through the first exhaust pipe; and a second adjusting device which is disposed in the second exhaust pipe, for adjusting a flow rate of an atmosphere passing through the second exhaust pipe. According to the present invention, the second exhaust pipe is usable for adjusting the exhaust flow rate to maintain a pressure inside the casing at a positive pressure. This makes it possible to divide, with the use of the first exhaust pipe and the second exhaust pipe, the work which satisfies the conditions of exhausting the atmosphere inside the casing to maintain the pressure inside the casing at the positive pressure relative to an amount of the supplied gas and exhausting the atmosphere inside the container at a predetermined flow rate or higher to prevent the atmosphere inside the container from flowing out of the container. Thereby, the atmospheres inside the casing and the container can be controlled more easily.
Abstract:
The present invention provides recycling system of an aqueous paint in which number of required apparatuses or equipments can decrease when two or more aqueous paint having different paint colors are used in the recycling system for a same aqueous paint. In the recycling system, over-spray paints are collected group by group according to a classification based on identity of combinations of pigments contained in said aqueous paints.
Abstract:
A rotary bell cup for atomizing particulate material such as paint includes a generally conical overflow surface having a generally constant flow angle defining a radially inward central axial opening and a radially outward atomizing edge with a bevel. A central flat portion is disposed between the conical overflow surface and the radially inward central axial opening. A deflector having a deflection surface of generally rotational symmetry is disposed in front of the central opening having a rear flat surface generally parallel to the central portion and a rear conical surface generally parallel to the conical overflow surface.
Abstract:
A system and method for reducing fluid drainage into air passageways of a spray device during disassembly. The present technique provides an internally mountable fluid nozzle having a fluid inlet, a fluid exit, and a converging central passageway extending substantially between the fluid inlet and the fluid exit. Accordingly, the internally mountable fluid nozzle has a relatively small internal volume, which reduces the amount of fluid that can be spilled during disassembly of the spray device. The present technique also provides a section of the spray device having an air passageway with an air exit, and a protrusive fluid passageway with a fluid exit in a protrusive offset position from the air exit. The internally mountable fluid nozzle can be mounted to the section in fluid communication with the protrusive fluid passageway, such that fluid spillage or drainage during disassembly does not flow into the air passageway. A spray formation section also may be coupled to the section, such that an internal cavity of the spray formation section is disposed about the internally mountable fluid nozzle.
Abstract:
A liquid dispensing module and nozzle or die tip for dispensing at least one liquid filament from a liquid discharge passage onto at least one moving strand. A strand guide is used for guiding each strand past the nozzle and/or locating each strand relative to the discharged liquid filament. The nozzle includes a process air outlet that supplies a stream of process air impinging each moving strand before the liquid filament is dispensed onto the strand.
Abstract:
An external mix air atomizing spray nozzle assembly having a nozzle body formed with liquid and air passages, a spray tip at a downstream end of the nozzle body having a nose portion that defines a liquid discharge orifice, and an air cap mounted in surrounding relation to the spray tip nose portion. The air cap defines an annular pressurized air orifice about the spray tip nose portion and a plurality of angled air passages disposed radially outwardly thereof. Pursuant to the invention, the spray tip nose portion has a frustoconical end tapering inwardly in a downstream direction which enhances air entrainment and minimizes liquid turbulence in a zone immediately in front of the air cap and around the spray tip nose portion to prevent undesirable build up of spray material on the exposed end surfaces of the spray tip nose portion and air cap.
Abstract:
An apparatus for the gunning of a material is provided having a nozzle with an inner passage having an inlet end into which a wetted material is to be introduced and an outlet end from which the material is to be sprayed. An outer passage is disposed around the inner passage and in fluid communication therewith and has an inlet end for introducing a gas to be passed through the outer passage and impinged on the wetted material passing through the inner passage. Also provided is an apparatus for the gunning of a material having a material delivery hose for providing a material. A water inlet in fluid communication with the material delivery hose provides water to wet the material and a nozzle outputs the wetted material. A mixing chamber is disposed intermediate and in fluid communication with the material delivery hose and the nozzle and has at least one inlet for introducing a mixing gas.
