Abstract: A compressor unit including a screw compressor having a compressor housing that has a screw rotor chamber arranged in the compressor housing, two screw rotors that are arranged in the screw rotor chamber and are mounted on the compressor housing to be rotatable about a respective screw rotor axis, and at least one control slider, which is arranged in a slider channel of the compressor housing, is adjacent to both screw rotors and is movable in a direction of displacement parallel to the screw rotor axes and takes a form such that it affects the final volume and/or the initial volume, wherein there is provided on the screw compressor a compressor operational control unit that takes a form such that it performs a compressor operating function that assists at least one operation of the compressor unit.

Abstract: A safety device for an orbital pump has first and second interleaved parts which are operable to follow an orbital path with respect to each other, the safety device comprising: a first member fixable with respect to the first interleaved part; and a second member fixable with respect to the second interleaved part, the second member defining an aperture into which the first member is receivable, the aperture being dimensioned to prevent movement of the first interleaved part with respect to the second interleaved part beyond the orbital path. In this way, the members of the safety device help to prevent the moving components of the pump contacting, thereby preventing damage.

Abstract: A vacuum pump having a housing which limits a working space and having a rotor, rotatably mounted in the housing about a rotor axis, the rotor guides a vane being movably mounted in the radial direction, the vane has a transverse extent, and the vane divides the working space into a suction side having a suction inlet and a pressure side having a pressure outlet, the housing has at least one oil outlet, the oil outlet is closed by a relief valve, the relief valve assumes an open position, when a limit pressure lying above a nominal pressure is exceeded in the working space, and the transverse extent of the vane is large enough that when the vane passes the oil outlet, the oil outlet is closed by the vane, so that there is no fluid connection between the suction side and the pressure side over the oil outlet.

Abstract: A screw compressor includes a compressor housing which has a screw rotor chamber arranged therein. Two screw rotors are arranged in the screw rotor chamber. At least one control slider is arranged in a slider channel of the compressor housing and is adjacent to both screw rotors by means of slider compression wall surfaces. The control slider is moveable in a direction of displacement parallel to the screw rotor axes. There is a position determining device for the at least one control slider. The position determining device has a position indicator that is coupled to the at least one control slider. The position indicator cooperates with a detector that extends parallel to the direction of displacement of the at least one control slider and along which the position indicator is moveable. The detector element is coupled to an evaluation device that determines the positions of the position indicator along the detector.

Abstract: A method is for surveillance of an operating state of a pumping device connected to a process chamber in order to determine a failing operating state of the pumping device. The pumping device includes at least one rough-vacuum pump including a motor for driving the rough-vacuum pump and a variable speed drive to control the rotation speed of the motor, to receive a first input parameter corresponding to a set point frequency and a second input parameter corresponding to a motor current, and to deliver to the motor an output parameter corresponding to a control frequency. A failing operating state is determined when in steady-state operation the difference between the first input parameter and the output parameter is equal to or exceeds 10% of the first input parameter for a predetermined time greater than 3 seconds. The method can be implemented in a pumping device and an installation.

Abstract: An oil-flooded screw compressor system includes: a first lubricating oil supply system for supplying lubricating oil to screw parts; and a second lubricating oil supply system for supplying the lubricating oil to a bearing. The first lubricating oil supply system includes: a gas-liquid separator; a first supply flow passage; and a first supply path. The second lubricating oil supply system includes: a lubricating oil reservoir; a second supply flow passage; a second supply path; a first discharge flow passage; and a discharge path. It is possible to suppress dissolution of a gas to be compressed in lubricating oil and to suppress damage to a bearing due to deterioration of the performance of the lubricating oil, even in a case where the gas to be compressed is compatible with the lubricating oil.

Abstract: A compressor includes a housing, a partition, a first scroll, a second scroll, and a valve assembly disposed within the second scroll. The valve assembly includes a valve housing, a valve body, and a first biasing member configured to displace the valve body from a first position to a second position relative to the valve housing. When in the first position, the valve body inhibits fluid communication between a fluid source and one of a series of compression pockets formed by the first and second scroll. When in the second position, the valve body allows fluid communication between the conduit and one or more of the series of compression pockets. The valve body is displaceable between the first and second positions in response to a change in operating temperature of the compressor.
