Abstract:
A snowmobile having a lightweight fabricated frame assembly. The frame assembly includes a number of reinforcing elements, some of which comprise heat exchangers for the liquid cooling system of the engine, so as to provide high rigidity and light weight. The engine of the snowmobile is provided with an exhaust system that permits a relatively short effective length, but minimizes pulse-back effects by forming internal expansion chambers around the exhaust branch pipes. The drive for the snowmobile includes a reversing transmission and a brake assembly associated therewith in addition to a main brake assembly for the snowmobile. Furthermore, there is provided a parking brake assembly that is easy to operate and which will provide the operator with a visual and physical warning of its condition so that the operator will not attempt to operate the snowmobile with the parking brake engaged.
Abstract:
A digital receive signal is sampled by an A/D converter, and the position of a point at which the receive signal crosses a reference level is obtained in response to sampling data by an exclusive OR gate. A phase interval between the present sampling point and the point at which the receive signal crosses the reference level is obtained by an arithmetic circuit, and the phase of the present sampling point is obtained in accordance with the position of the crossing point, the phase interval P between the present sampling point and the crossing point obtained by arithmetic circuit, the phase of a preceding sampling point obtained by an I-bit parallel delay circuit, and the phase of a sampling point which is two points preceding to the present sampling point and obtained by an I-bit j-stage parallel delay circuit. A data detection clock signal and digital data are detected in accordance with the computed phase of each sampling point, an MSB of sampling data, and the phase interval between the present sampling point and the point at which the receive signal crosses the reference level.

A fuel pump including a housing; a motor section provided in the housing which motor section includes an armature and a magnet opposed to the armature with a substantially annular space defined therebetween as a fuel passage, which armature includes a core formed by stacking a plurality of plates and a coil wound around the core; a pump section fixed to a lower end of the housing and connected to the motor section to be driven thereby; a fuel inlet formed in the pump section for sucking a fuel by driving the motor section; a fuel outlet formed at an upper end of the fuel pump for discharging the fuel fed from the fuel inlet through the fuel passage; and a first resin portion impregnated in the core and the coil for suppressing vibration of the armature. The fuel pump having the above construction preferably further includes a second resin portion coated on a surface of at least the first resin portion, which second resin portion has a resistance against the fuel and no influence upon the fuel.
Abstract:
A rotary type electrostatic spray painting device including a rotary shaft driven by an air turbine. A reflecting face portion and a non-reflecting face portion are formed on the rear end face of the rotary shaft. A rotating speed sensor is arranged adjacent to the rear end face of the rotary shaft to detect the rotating speed of the rotary shaft from light reflected from the reflecting face portion. The amount of pressurized air fed into the air turbine is controlled in response to the output signal of the rotating speed sensor so that the rotating speed of the rotary shaft becomes equal to a desired rotating speed.
Abstract:
There is provided a new pigment composition composed of a pigment and a dispersant wherein the dispersant is a phosphoric ester compound represented by the formula below. ##STR1## (where one or more than one of the three R's are residues of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid and/or hydroxy ester thereof; and one or two of the three R's, in case of being remained, are hydrogen atoms, cations, or residues of an alcohol excluding the above-mentioned residues.)
Abstract:
A hydrophilic polymer comprises a main component of a block copolymer and/or a graft copolymer which has at least one hydrophobic hard segment-hydrophilic segment-hydrophobic hard segment unit wherein said hydrophobic hard segment is a binding phase segment having an average molecular weight of more than 1,000 and said hydrophilic segment is a segment having a hydrophilic group connected to thioether bond on a side chain and having an average molecular weight of more than 1,000.
Abstract:
An air filter assembly has a fan, pre-filter, a main filter, and a control circuit which generates various signals to the user as to when the pre-filter and the main filter should be replaced. The control circuit detects when the pre-filter should be replaced from two conditions: a first pre-filter replacement condition based decreased air flow, and a second pre-filter replacement condition based on cumulative operating time. The control circuit detects when the main filter should be replaced based on a formula containing a number of the occurrences of the first pre-filter replacement condition and a number of occurrences of the second pre-filter replacement condition. The control circuit also detects a main filter replacement condition based on cumulative operating time of main filter. The main filter can have a fuse that is blown when the main filter should be replaced.
Abstract:
In a structure where an electronic component is mounted on a glass base material, an external electrode is provided on an opposite side to the component mounted on the base, and a through electrode and the base are welded to each other at a temperature equal to or higher than a glass softening point, electrical conduction is ensured between the electronic component and the external electrode. An electronic device includes a base, a through electrode which pass through the base and has a metal film formed on both end surfaces after an insulating material on the surface is removed by polishing, an electronic component which is provided on one surface of the through electrode through a connection portion, an external electrode which is provided on an opposite side to a side of the base on which the electronic component is provided, and a cap which protects the electronic component on the base.
Abstract:
To provide an improved solderability for mounting an electronic component onto a circuit board, a package of an electronic component (1) is formed by bonding together a base (3) made of glass and a lid (2). Outer electrodes (8) and (18) are formed on a bottom surface of the base (3), and the outer electrodes (8) and (18) are respectively connected to through electrodes (7) and (17). The outer electrodes (8) and (18) each have a laminated structure of three CrAu layers, that is, from a Cr layer (first layer) to an Au layer (sixth layer). When the outer electrodes (8) and (18) are soldered onto a circuit board, the Au layers as the second, fourth, and sixth layers are dissolved into solder, whereas the Cr layers as the third and fifth layers, which hardly form an intermetallic compound with solder, are separated to remain in solder.
