Abstract: A molecular device including: at least one molecule of zinc cytochrome c; in which an electron or a hole is transferred within the at least one molecule of zinc cytochrome c bar utilizing transition of an electron between molecular orbitals of the at least one molecule of zinc cytochrome c. The molecular orbitals, for example, are a first molecular orbital localized in a first amino acid residue of the at least one molecule of zinc cytochrome c, and a second molecular orbital which is localized in a second amino acid residue of the at least one molecule of zinc cytochrome c and which has a maximum transition probability per unit time with respect to the first molecular orbital. In this case, the electron or the hole is transferred between the first amino acid residue and the second amino acid residue.

Abstract: A fuel cell capable of being thinned while maintaining a stable electric power supply is provided. A fuel cell includes a power generation section, a fuel tank, a fuel supply section (pump), and a fuel vaporization section. The power generation section has a structure in which a combined body is sandwiched between a cell plate and a cell plate. The combined body has a structure in which an anode electrode and a cathode electrode are oppositely arranged with an electrolyte film in between. In particular, the fuel supply section and the fuel vaporization section are integrally provided, and are connected by a nozzle section buried therein. A fuel contained in the fuel tank is pumped by the fuel supply section according to the state of the power generation section, and then is vaporized by the fuel vaporization section, and is supplied to the power generation section side.

Abstract: Provided are a liquid tank capable of reducing an influence of disturbance on measurement results and measuring accurate volume, and a fuel cell using the same. One face of a liquid container section is structured by a detector in which a first board to a fourth board each configured of a printed board are stacked in order. A pair of detection electrodes 12A and 12B are provided on a front face of the first board, and this pair of detection electrodes 12A and 12B are allowed to contact directly or indirectly to a liquid fuel inside the liquid container section to detect a stray capacitance. A back face side of the first board is disposed with the second board having a shielding electrode 22. Even when a hand or the like is brought close to the detector, the detection electrodes 12A and 12B are prevented from sensing the stray capacitance generated as a result.

Abstract: Photoelectric conversion elements having configurations suitable for various applications and related components, and methods associated therewith, are described. Photoelectric conversion elements may include electrodes and be arranged in association with a light collector such that light incident on one of the electrodes of a photoelectric conversion element is rendered uneven. In some cases, the electrodes may have current extraction regions where the light collector may direct light incident on the light collector toward one current extraction region in an amount greater than another current extraction region. Photoelectric conversion elements may be disposed adjacent to one another in a manner where a portion of one photoelectric conversion element may be electrically connected with a portion of an adjacent photoelectric conversion element. Photoelectric conversion elements can also be arranged in a variety of suitable patterns.

Abstract: A fuel tank preventing an excessive supply when manually supplying a liquid such as a fuel, a fuel cell and an electronic apparatus using the fuel tank are provided. A fuel tank includes a deformable section which is deformable by external pressure in a part of a housing containing a liquid fuel. The deformable section has a projected shape outward from a top surface of the housing, and has a configuration in which a flat surface is arranged with a bending part in the top surface of the housing. The flat surface of the deformable section is pushed by a finger, a stick or the like to apply external pressure to the deformable section, thereby the deformable section is deformed so as to be flipped with respect to the top surface of the housing. The volumetric capacity in the housing is changed to push the liquid fuel out.
