A communication system (10) has an audio receiver path (12), and a digital transceiver path (14), wherein both paths (12, 14) are integrated on a single integrated circuit. The audio receiver path (12) has a concealment device (16), and the communication system (10) also has at least one functional block (18) connected to and shared by the both paths (12, 14). The communication system (10) has a digital controller (20) connected to both paths (12, 14), the at least one functional block (18), and the concealment device (16). The digital controller (20) is operable to schedule the operation of the digital transceiver path (14), and to inform the concealment device (16) of start and end points of the activity of the digital transceiver path (14). The concealment device (16) is operable to mask interruptions in the audio stream from the audio receiver path (12) caused during periods of activity of the digital transceiver path (14).
Abstract:
Methods and systems for controlling operating conditions of electrolytic cells are provided, particularly aluminum electrolytic cells. The method may includes the steps of measuring offgas temperature from the electrolytic cell, comparing the measured offgas temperature to a target offgas temperature, and completing a predetermined action in response to the comparing step. The predetermined action may include one or more of changing a feed rate of feed materials supplied to the electrolytic cell or inspecting a crust of the electrolytic cell for an undesired condition, such as a crust hole. The system may include an electrolytic cell adapted to contain a molten metal mixture, a hopper adapted to provide feed material to the electrolytic cell, a hood adapted to contain offgas from the electrolytic cell, an exhaust duct interconnected to the hood and containing a thermocouple for measuring offgas temperature, and a control panel for receiving temperature measurements from the thermocouple.

A polar modulator arrangement includes a polar generator to provide a phase component and an amplitude component of a complex signal, a filtering block to filter the phase component, and a combiner to combine the amplitude component and the filtered phase component.

The second memory is configured to store second layers of the Bluetooth protocol stack. The second layers have higher real-time requirements than the first layers. The host processor is coupled to the first memory. The host processor is configured to execute the first layers. The second processor is coupled to the second memory. The present invention relates to receiver equipment with AC-coupled receiver circuits and AC coupling filters. A switch connected between a first stage and a second stage among the receiver circuits is adapted to switch from a high coupling corner frequency, for rapid settling of a signal during preparation of data reception, to a low corner frequency, for low signal distortion during data reception. The receiver circuits are adapted to use known properties in the signal to perform the switch at a time when the short term DC-components of the signal are as low as possible.

A communication system comprises at least a first and a second access point and a network arrangement device to receive radio signaling from at least a first station and to relay messages received through the radio signaling from the at least first station to the network management device. Each of the access points extracts performance data, for each message received from the at least first station, from the radio signaling. Each of the access points generates a message identity for each message received from the station. The message identity uniquely identifies a transmitted message, each of the at least first and second access point is provided to send radio performance messages to the network management device comprising at least the message identity and the performance data, and the network management device is provided to receive the radio performance messages from the at least first and second access point.

Different incentives can be provided to a user for the user to take different routes. Information related to a user's specific situation can be gathered and a reward can be associated with a route. A user can input an intended destination and different routes can be taken, where the routes have various characteristics. The route can be analyzed and a determination can be made as to what routes can be associated with a user taking a particular route. Commonly, different companies can supply rewards such that the user travels past their advertisement or makes a stop at their store.

Individuals can be organized into travel groups in plans constructed in advance or in real-time to save resources and travel in an efficient manner. Multi-segment trips between starting points and destinations can be constructed with several vehicles, including private, public, and commercial transportation assets. Numerous requests for real-time or planned recurrent commutes by a population of users can be considered in a larger analysis that seeks to optimize one or more attributes such as vehicle usage and/or greenhouse emissions. Data concerning multiple related individuals can be gathered and analyzed—based upon the analysis, a determination can be made if it is logical to group individuals together such that they physically travel together. A transportation asset provider and/or individuals can be offered a reward to become part of the travel group and/or to perform specific tasks related to the travel group, such as using a vehicle with a certain fuel type.

In order to provide advertising to a user concerning an intended travel destination, an auction takes place where multiple companies place bids to have an advertisement disclosed. Bid selection can take place according to various parameters, including matching a user interest, a bidder that offers a highest price, etc. Bids can be solicited and then received—once a bid is selected for presentation, the advertisement can be received, evaluated, and then presented to a user.
