Abstract:
In a magnetic refrigerator, a permanent magnet unit shaped like a hub is so rotated as to face an annular magnetic unit having magnetic blocks arranged in a circumferential direction. The permanent magnet unit is also arranged to be concentric with a magnetic unit and has an inner and outer diameters substantially equal to those of the magnetic unit. Each of the magnetic blocks has positive and negative magnetic segments alternately arranged with predetermined gaps. As the permanent magnet unit rotates, heat conducting members are inserted into and removed from the gaps between the magnetic segments of the magnetic block. This allows heat generated from the magnetic segments to conduct in one direction.
Abstract:
In an electrical connector adapted to be interposed between two connection objects to electrically connect the connection objects to each other, a flexible conductive film, mounted on a base member, includes a flexible insulating film having an outer surface and an inner surface. The flexible insulating film is folded near a rear edge of the base member into a generally U shape with the outer surface kept on the outside. The flexible conductive film has a film conductive pattern formed not only the outer surface of the flexible insulating film but also on the inner surface of the flexible insulating film.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device having a signal line of low electrical resistivity and high adhesion with an underlayer, wherein a copper alloy film is formed on an underlayer, and an oxide film, silicide film or nitride film, which are additive metal elements of the copper alloy, is formed at the boundary between the underlayer and the copper alloy film whereby the signal line is formed with a multi-layer film of the copper alloy film and the oxide film, the silicide film, or the nitride film.
Abstract:
In a heat transporting apparatus, a cylinder is filled with a refrigerant and pistons are arranged in the cylinder, which compress and expand the refrigerant in the cylinder. A magnet unit is movably provided around the cylinder to apply a magnetic field to the cylinder, which is alternately increased and decreased in accordance with a movement of the magnet unit. A thermal accumulator is received in the cylinder, which produces heat depending on one of the increasing and decreasing of the magnetic field at the compression of the refrigerant, and absorbs heat depending on the other of the increasing and decreasing of the magnetic field at the expansion of the refrigerant. Heat exchangers are located in the cylinder, which radiates the heat from the refrigerant and thermal accumulator to an exterior of the apparatus, and absorbs external heat and transfers the heat to the refrigerant and thermal accumulator.

Abstract:
A tip of a first wire is bonded to a first electrode. The first wire is drawn from the first electrode to a bump on a second electrode. A part of the first wire is deformed and bonded to the bump. A tip of a second wire formed in the shape of a ball is bonded to the bump by using a tool in a state in which at least a part of the tip is superposed on the first wire. A part of the first wire which is not deformed by bonding is prevented from being deformed by the tip of the second wire and the tool.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device with a thickness of 1 mm or less is disclosed, that comprises a frame plate main body with a thickness in the range from 0.1 mm to 0.25 mm, a semiconductor pellet disposed on a first surface of the frame plate main body and with a thickness in the range from 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm, an external connection lead, one end thereof being connected to a peripheral portion of the first surface of the frame plate main body, the other end thereof extending to the outside of the frame plate main body, a bonding wire for electrically connecting an electrode of the semiconductor pellet and a connection portion of the end of the external connection lead, and a sealing resin layer for covering and sealing at least a region including the semiconductor pellet, the bonding wire, and a connection portion.
Abstract:
A plant operational status monitoring supervisory system comprising; means for extracting information directly relating to water quality of an objective portion consecutively for a period of time by means of an electrochemical water quality sensor installed in an objective portion to monitor in-situ in a plant; means for evaluating water quality based on thus extracted information; means for comparing an obtained water quality evaluation result with a reference value for a predetermined plant operation procedure; and means for displaying or storing necessary portion out of said comparison results; is disclosed. An electrochemical reference electrode used in this system being provided with an electrolyte layer containing ion of the electrode member; a porous ceramic layer surrounding the same without permeating liquid; and electrode member electrochemically contacting with said elec-trolyte layer; and a terminal electrically contacting with said electrode member; and further having a long life in high temperature water, various status of high temperature water in objective portions and that of nearby constituent members in a plant are possible to be monitored online by means of this reference electrode.Further, because monitored data are processed by means of a neural network, the higher precision level of monitoring has been achieved.
