Abstract: In an example, a User Equipment (UE) receives and/or detects a transmission of data from a network. The transmission of the data is addressed to a Group Radio Network Temporary Identifier (G-RNTI) for a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process. In response to receiving and/or detecting the transmission of the data, the UE (i) starts a first HARQ Round Trip Time (RTT) timer associated with the G-RNTI for the HARQ process, and (ii) starts a second HARQ RTT timer associated with a Cell Radio Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI) for the HARQ process. The UE starts a multicast retransmission timer for the HARQ process in response to expiry of the first HARQ RTT timer. The UE starts a unicast retransmission timer for the HARQ process in response to expiry of the second HARQ RTT timer. The UE receives and/or detects a first retransmission of the DL data addressed to the G-RNTI for the HARQ process. In response to receiving and/or detecting the first retransmission of the data, the UE (i) stops the multicast retransmission timer, and (ii) stops the unicast retransmission timer.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for handling partial sensing and discontinuous reception for sidelink communication to reduce potential latency due to additional sensing and to improve resource utilization efficiency. Various embodiments can comprise a first device performing sidelink communication to at least a second device, or a second device in a sidelink resource pool, and triggering to perform resource selection for a sidelink data at a timing, wherein the first device (already) receives or monitors sidelink control information for a (contiguous) time duration before the timing. The first device can perform sensing for a contiguous sensing duration after the timing, determine or select a first sidelink resource from a set of sidelink resources, and perform a first sidelink transmission on the first sidelink resource for transmitting the sidelink data to the second device.

A first device can perform sidelink communication to at least a second device, or a second device in a sidelink resource pool, and trigger to perform resource selection for a sidelink data at a timing. The first device can perform sensing for a first contiguous sensing duration before a sidelink on-duration active time of the second device, determine or select a first sidelink resource from a set of sidelink resources, derive or determine the set of sidelink resources based on at least a sensing result in the first contiguous sensing duration, and perform a first sidelink transmission on the first sidelink resource for transmitting the sidelink data to the second device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example, a first device receives first information and second information from a base station. The first device is configured with a configured grant for sidelink communication via the first information. The configured grant is indicative of first resources for sidelink communication. The second information is indicative of one or more timing offsets and an identity for second resources. The first device transmits sidelink data to a second device via a first resource of the first resources. The first device receives and/or detects a first signal, from the second device, indicative of a reception result associated with the sidelink data. The first device determines a second time and a frequency location based on the second information. The first device transmits a second signal to the base station via a second resource associated with the second time and the frequency location.

In one embodiment, the method includes the UE initiating a one-to-one V2X sidelink communication. The method further includes the UE transmitting a RRC (Radio Resource Control) message to a network node to request sidelink resources from NR RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication and not transmitting any RRC message to the network node to request sidelink resources from LTE RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a device to perform sidelink communication. In one embodiment, the method includes the device receiving a sidelink grant from a network node, wherein the sidelink grant schedules or assigns multiple sidelink resources. The method further includes the device generating a data packet comprising or multiplexing sidelink data from Sidelink (SL) logical channel(s) with SL Hybrid Automatic Request (HARQ) feedback enabled. The method further includes the device performing two sidelink transmissions for the data packet on two adjacent, neighbor, or consecutive sidelink resources among the multiple sidelink resources if a time gap of the two adjacent, neighbor, or consecutive sidelink resources is larger than or equal to a minimum time gap. In addition, the method includes the device being allowed to drop, skip, or cancel a sidelink transmission on one sidelink resource of the two adjacent, neighbor, or consecutive sidelink resources among the multiple sidelink resources if the time gap of the two adjacent, neighbor, or consecutive sidelink resources is less than a minimum time gap.

Abstract: In an example, a User Equipment (UE) operates with shared spectrum channel access on a carrier and/or a cell. The UE receives a configuration for configuring configured grants for uplink transmission in a bandwidth part (BWP). The configured grants include a first configured grant and a second configured grant. The UE configures a first minimum Downlink Feedback Indication (DFI) time delay for the first configured grant according to the configuration. The first minimum DFI time delay is for validation of Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) information in response to one or more first uplink transmissions. The UE configures a second minimum DFI time delay for the second configured grant according to the configuration. The second minimum DFI time delay is for validation of HARQ information in response to one or more second uplink transmissions. The UE does not expect the second minimum DFI time delay to have a different value than the first minimum DFI time delay.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE, wherein the UE is allocated with multiple SR configurations by a network node. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE triggering a MAC control element if a timer expires. The method also includes the UE triggering a SR for the MAC control element. The method also includes the UE transmitting the SR based on a first SR configuration of the multiple SR configurations, wherein the first SR configuration is associated with a highest priority logical channel having data available for transmission when the MAC control element is triggered.
