Abstract:
A metal resistor having a positive temperature coefficient of resistance is connected to a current source to develop a voltage drop that acts as an offset for a .DELTA.V.sub.BE differential amplifier. Since this offset voltage has a positive temperature coefficient it will compensate the resistor coefficient to develop a constant current. The constant current can be employed in a current sink sense-shutoff combination or it can be used to develop a plural output current source/sink combination.
Abstract:
A Schottky driver is disclosed in which the output circuitry is pin selectable totem pole or open collector configuration. Means for reduced propagation delay are present along with means for reducing totem pole current spikes and overall current drain.
Abstract:
A method and system are presented of automatically suggesting rules for data stored in a table, with the table comprising a plurality of columns. The table is profiled to identify a content type for each of one or more of the plurality of columns. A rule knowledge base is accessed to locate rules specified for identified content types. Then, one or more of the located rules specified for identified content types are presented as suggestions. Acceptance of one or more of the suggested rules is received from a user, and the received validations are stored in the rule knowledge base. The accepted rules are applied to data for quality detection and monitoring. Embodiments are also described where columns are suggested based on a given rule.
Abstract:
In an example embodiment, a method of automatically generating data validation rules from data stored in a column of a table is provided. Outliers for the data are determined by analyzing a profiling statistic for the data, the profiling statistic having a type. Then it is determined if a predefined limit is exceeded, based on a quantity of the outliers determined for the data through the analysis of the profiling statistic. A data validation rule is then automatically generated based on non-outliers detected in the data through the analysis of the profiling statistic, the generated data validation rule also being based on the type of the profiling statistic. The data validation rule can then be applied to data subsequently entered for the column, causing at least a portion of the data subsequently entered for the column to be rejected.
Abstract:
According to some embodiments, a method and an apparatus of enriching search results with metadata are provided to receive a plurality of metadata associated with an entity and storing the plurality of metadata in a repository. A search request associated with the entity is received and search results that comprise a portion of the plurality of metadata stored in the repository are determined.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method of calculating a cost impact. The method includes associating cost amounts with various rules, using the rules to identify bad data, and calculating an aggregate cost of the bad data. In this manner, the Data Steward can prioritize various data quality improvement projects.
Abstract:
A temperature independent reference circuit includes first and second bipolar transistors with commonly coupled bases. First and second resistors are coupled in series between the emitter of the second bipolar transistor and ground. The first and second resistors have first and second resistance values, R1 and R2, and third and second temperature coefficients, TC3 and TC2, respectively. The resistance values being such that a temperature coefficient of a difference between the base-emitter voltages of the first and second bipolar transistors, TC1, is substantially equal to TC2×(R2/(R1+R2))+TC3×(R1/R1+R2)), resulting in a reference current flowing through each of the first and second bipolar transistors that is substantially constant over temperature. A third resistor coupled between a node and the collector of the second bipolar transistor has a value such that a reference voltage generated at the node is substantially constant over temperature.
Abstract:
An example controller for a power converter includes a feedback sampling circuit, drive logic and a false sampling prevention circuit. The feedback sampling circuit is coupled to sample a feedback signal received from a terminal of the controller and to generate a sample signal representative of a value of the feedback signal. The drive logic is coupled to the feedback sampling circuit and coupled to control the power switch to regulate an output of the power converter in response to the sample signal. The false sampling prevention circuit is coupled to receive a sampling complete signal that indicates when the sampling of the feedback signal is complete. The false sampling prevention circuit is further coupled to the drive logic to extend the off time of the power switch until the sampling complete signal indicates that the sampling of the feedback signal by the feedback sampling circuit is complete.
