    Abstract: A circuit includes a switching signal generator and synchronization circuitry configured to determine a first time of a switching period based on a switching signal. The circuit further includes a comparison signal generator configured to generate a comparison signal with a first constant rate of change after the first time. The synchronization circuitry is further configured to determine a second time of the switching period based on when current at the inductive element changes from a positive current to a negative current. The comparison signal generator is further configured to generate the comparison signal with a second constant rate of change after the second time. The circuit further includes a threshold detector configured to compare a value of the comparison signal at the end of a target switching period with a threshold value.

    Abstract: An electronic circuit unit includes a trigger circuit and a circuit module. The trigger circuit includes a semiconductor switching element configured to output a switching pulse signal in response to an external trigger signal, a load resistor for the semiconductor switching element, a one-shot pulse circuit configured to convert the switching pulse signal into a one-shot pulse with a predetermined pulse width, and a forcible-reset circuit connected to an input side of the semiconductor switching element. The one-shot pulse circuit includes a coupling capacitor connected to an input side of the semiconductor switching element and a charging resistor for the coupling capacitor. The pulse width of the one-shot pulse is determined by a time constant of the coupling capacitor and the charging resistor. The forcible-reset circuit is configured to temporarily input an on-voltage to the semiconductor switching element so as to forcibly switch the circuit module to the operating mode.

    Abstract: A power conversion device includes: a first control unit and a second control unit that output a first control signal and a second control signal, respectively; a gate circuit that causes a control signal selected from the first control signal and the second control signal to pass through the gate circuit; and a drive circuit that drives a main circuit based on the control signal that passes through the gate circuit. When the second control signal is selected in the state where the first control signal passes through the gate circuit, the gate circuit interrupts the first control signal and causes the second control signal to pass through the gate circuit as an absolute value of an instantaneous value of an AC current decreases below a threshold current.

    Abstract: A method for operating a switched-mode power converter includes providing to a maximum voltage node as a maximum voltage, a version of the higher of a first voltage on a first node and a second voltage on a second node. The method includes generating a first signal indicating whether to operate the switched-mode power converter in a buck mode of operation or a boost mode of operation based on the first voltage and a first voltage domain based on the maximum voltage. The method includes generating a second signal indicating whether to operate the switched-mode power converter in a buck mode of operation or a boost mode of operation based on the first voltage and a second voltage domain of the first voltage. The method includes combining the first signal and the second signal to generate a digital configuration indicator signal.
