Abstract:
A system and method for employee recruitment, management and reporting that includes providing a listing on a website related to open job positions. An applicant applies for an open job position by completing a HTML form. The completed form is submitted to a SQL database using a VBScript and stored. The database contains information on applicants and employees. A user provides a password to access different management menus based on rights associated with the user. The use can manage the information on applicants and employees using the management menus including managing the open job listing, applicant recruitment, employee information, or generating reports related to the applicants and employees.
Abstract:
A computer system and method that are useful for embedded operating systems, thin client computing applications and the like, protects memory blocks in a nonvolatile version of the system program used at startup (reboot), for example in flash memory. Write operations to protected memory blocks are intercepted. A potentially revised version of any attempted re-written block is maintained in RAM and can be revised further during runtime, the original protected block remaining unwritten. A restriction process flags when or whether a revised block in the RAM is to become permanent. During a write operation or at orderly system shutdown, the revised blocks that were marked are written over the protected blocks in the nonvolatile version. The process can be embodied using file and directory attributes in variably sized Ramdisk virtual drive in a Windows XP-embedded system, providing processes with read access to the original protected block as well as the revisions, enabling configuration changes and software installations without multiple reboots.
Abstract:
A truck bed ballast for lying in the bed of a truck is disclosed. The ballast consists of a flat rectangular bag having four opposite sides and an upper and lower sheet. At least one of said sides has an elongated zipper for opening and closing the side of the bag. The bag is approximately 50 inches long between two of the opposite sides. The bag has four corners, each corner being provided with a strap for attachment of the bag to the bed of the truck. The bag is dimensioned to contain and secure at least two flat square concrete weights in abutting side to side alignment.
Abstract:
A molded pool step, a method of fabricating the pool step and a method of matching a decorative pattern on the pool step to the decorative pattern on a pool liner is disclosed. The pool step is fabricated by applying a decorative pattern to one surface of a transparent sheet of moldable material; positioning the sheet of material on a pool step mold such that the sheet contacts a molding surface of the pool step mold; molding the sheet of material on the pool step mold such that the decorative pattern is located a distance inwardly from an outer surface of the pool step and is thereby prevented being contacted by pool water or people using the pool. When the pool step is molded and installed the decorative pattern on the three-dimension pool step is substantially continuous with the decorative pattern on the liner adjacent the pool step.

Abstract:
Solutions for capturing and displaying conversation history for providing conversation capture functionality. Some such solutions use a user supersystem as a communications hub to capture and/or generate relevant information for enhancing conversations with contacts, including address book information, contact notes, conversation history information, and/or conversation anchors. The information may then be processed for display to the user via a graphical interface.
Abstract:
Solutions for providing integrated task list functionality. Some such solutions use a user supersystem as a communications hub to generate, display, and/or handle user-based tasks for a family group. For example, tasks may be assigned to one or more members of the family and associated with various types of dates, rewards, audits, etc. Family members may then interact with the tasks through the communications hub and/or through other devices (e.g., cell phones, etc.).
Abstract:
A system and method for securing a vinyl pool stair liner to a set of pool stairs. The system includes a locking component that is secured to the stairs and a locking rod that is selectively engageable in a channel in the upper end of the locking component. The locking rod secures a flap of vinyl extending outwardly from an exterior surface of the stair liner into the channel and thereby secures the stair liner to the pool stairs. An installation tool is used to push the locking rod into the channel of the locking component. The locking rod is removable from the locking component to release the stair liner if it is determined that the liner should be replaced at a later date.
Abstract:
A kit for temporarily relieving flood water seep includes a unitized enclosure with segregated containers for a prepolymer and catalyst, respectively. A mixer connected to the unitized enclosure combines the catalyst and prepolymer and a disperser connected to mixer sprays the combined catalyst and prepolymer. The prepolymer and catalyst, in contact with water, forms a pliable solid of density of at least about 7 lb./cu.ft. The kit may be a consumer article, and the polymer can be removable after flooding subsides.
Abstract:
A sealing member for securing a vinyl pool liner to a stair system and including a first sealing component which is secured along a side wall defining the stairs; a bottom sealing component secured to the wall beneath the stairs and a corner assembly disposed between the two. All of the first and bottom sealing components and the corner assembly include an inner frame member and an outer frame member which are configured to snap-fittingly engage each other and clamp a portion of the liner between them. The corner assembly is curved and a cover is engaged over the outer frame member of the corner assembly to prevent accidental disengagement thereof. The cover extends for a distance along each of the first and bottom sealing components. The outer frame member defines a plurality of apertures in its upper surface which are configured to receive studs extending outwardly from the cover.
