Abstract: A method of manufacturing an alkali metal coated current collector for a battery, the method includes melting the alkali metal, removing impurities floating on the surface of the melted alkali metal; applying the purified melted alkali metal to the surface of at least one side of a passing current collector substrate to form a coating on the current collector substrate. A system for manufacturing an alkali metal coated current collector for a battery includes at least one extruder having a melt chamber, an inlet extending to the melt chamber, at least one feed roller in the inlet for feeding alkali metal introduced into the inlet to the melt chamber; a heater for melting alkali metal in the melt chamber; an opening in the chamber for removing impurities floating on the melted alkali metal in the melt chamber; an outlet extending from the melt chamber to a dispensing opening; a reservoir for receiving melted alkali metal; and at least one drive roller for driving a current collector substrate past the reservoir to receive a coating of melted alkali metal.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in treating seeds. In one example embodiment, such a system includes a keg assembly including a seed treatment and a seed treater in fluid communication with the keg assembly via a supply line. The seed treater includes an application chamber configured to receive the seed treatment from the keg assembly via the supply line and apply the seed treatment to seeds. The system also includes a priming assembly coupled to the supply line and configured to automatically prime the supply line with the seed treatment, and a seed metering chamber configured to deliver an amount of the seeds to the application chamber based at least in part on a weight of the seeds received in the seed metering chamber.

Abstract: A vaporizer includes an outer tube configured to receive a flow of heated gas and an inner tube disposed at least partially within the outer tube. The inner tube is spaced apart from the outer tube such that the flow of heated gas is channeled through an annular space therebetween. The vaporizer also includes a crucible disposed at least partially within the inner tube. The crucible is extendable and retractable relative to the inner tube and within the outer tube. The crucible is configured to hold a molten metal such that a surface area of the molten metal exposed to the flow of heated gas is adjustable based on the position of the crucible relative to the inner tube. A heater is configured to vaporize the molten material and the vapor mixes with the flow of heated gas.

Abstract: An apparatus for conveying viscous material from a drum-like container with a container bottom and a circumferential container wall extending from the container bottom to a container upper side and being open at the container upper side has, for closing the container a follower plate having a material outlet attached to a conveyor pump. Its second end is free.
