Abstract:
A method and system for minimizing bus traffic in a video decoder is disclosed. A method and system for processing a portion of a reference picture includes designating the reference picture, selecting a display picture within the reference picture, transmitting a display picture size, and sending a display picture offset. A method and system for compressing IDCT coefficients corresponding to a macroblock, the macroblock having a plurality of blocks, includes locating each non-zero IDCT coefficient corresponding to one of the plurality of blocks, assigning an index to the non-zero IDCT coefficient, the index designating a location within the one of the plurality of blocks, packing the non-zero IDCT coefficient in little endian format, and specifying a terminator bit corresponding to the non-zero coefficient, the terminator bit indicating the end of all non-zero IDCT coefficients for the one of the plurality of blocks. A method and system for selectively controlling each hardware device within a video decoder includes obtaining a video stream, performing VLC decoding, encoding a plurality of instructions to control each hardware device within the video decoder, decoding each one of the plurality of instructions, and optionally performing an IDCT in response to each one of the plurality of instructions.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture for generating a delay time using a counter are disclosed. In particular, the methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture determine a number of loops value associated with the delay time and at least one characteristic value associated with a counter. A remaining count value is then determined based on the number of loops value. The delay time is generated with the counter based on the number of loops value and the remaining count value.

Abstract:
A system and method for estimating sample clock frequency offset (εs) in a digital radio mondiale (DRM) system such as, for example, DRM receivers. The system and method includes using a relationship given by the following equation: ɛ s = linearfit ( angle ( P G m P G_tr m P G m - cycle P G_tr m - cycle ) , l ) × N 2 π × cycle × ( N + L ) wherein the PGm is the gain pilot received in the mth symbol and PG—trm is the gain pilot transmitted in the mth symbol, the PGm-cycle is the gain pilot received in (m-cycle)th symbol, the PG—trm-cycle is the second gain pilot transmitted in (m-cycle)th symbol, the l is the index of the sub-carrier associated with the gain pilot, the N is a factor of a sample point number of a useful symbol, the L is a sample point number of a guard interval, and the cycle is the interval of two symbols which are inserted gain pilots at the same sub-carriers (l).

Abstract:
An operating button device of the present invention is adapted for use with an electronic apparatus, and includes first and second operating button sets and an elastic component. The first operating button set includes a mounting seat and a pair of press buttons disposed on the mounting seat. The second operating button set includes a toggle button rotatable relative to the mounting seat, and a pair of contact pieces disposed on a bottom part of the toggle button. The elastic component has a securing end disposed on the mounting seat, and a restoring end opposite to the securing end and in sleeving engagement with the toggle button.
Abstract:
A manual controller commands a telescope mount to automatically track a specific bright star after the image of the star is located to center of an electronic eyepiece and a timer is started. The average moving speed of the bright star is calculated after a predetermined elapsed time to acquire the right ascension (RA) and the declination (DEC) coordinates of this bright star. Subsequently, the RA and DEC coordinates are compared with pre-stored data contained within a database used to identify the bright star. The celestial sphere coordinates of the telescope can be determined after a minimum of one bright star is identified. In the auto-tracking procedure, the manual controller controls movement of telescope by feedbacks of the drifting speed and direction of the specific bright star in an electronic eyepiece for the purpose of keeping the specific bright star in the center of the electronic eyepiece.
