Abstract: In an embodiment, a composition comprises a polycarbonate; 1 to 5 wt % based on a total weight of the composition of a nanosilica having a D50 particle size by volume of 5 to 50 nanometers; wherein the nanosilica has a hydrophobic coating; and a siloxane domain having repeat units of the formula 10; wherein each R is independently a C1-13 monovalent organic group and the value of E is 2 to 1,000; wherein the composition comprises at least one of a polycarbonate-polysiloxane copolymer, 0.1 to 5 wt % of a polysiloxane homopolymer based on the total weight of the composition, or a plurality of polysiloxane particles having a D50 particle size by volume of 0.1 to 10 micrometers.

Abstract: A composite material is provided. In some aspects, the composite material may include a combination of a thermoplastic resin mixed with a polypropylene-graft-maleic anhydride (PPgMA). Carbon particles may be mixed in the combination. In this way, the composite material may include between 80 wt. % and 90 wt. % of the thermoplastic resin, between 0.5 wt. % and 15 wt. % of PPgMA, and between 0.1 wt. % to 7 wt. % of carbon particles. Carbon particles may have exposed carbon surfaces with carbon atoms bonded to molecular sites on adjacent PPgMA molecules. At least some carbon atoms may be oxidized with one or more of oxygen-containing groups. Oxidation of carbon atoms may be associated with an increase in at least some PPgMA molecules chemically bonding with adjacent carbon atoms per unit volume. In this way, interaction between carbon atoms and PPgMA molecules may maintain composite material density within +/−3% of thermoplastic resin density.

The resin composition includes a black coloring agent (A), an ethylenically-unsaturated monomer (B), a solvent (C), a resin (D), and a photoinitiator (E). The black coloring agent (A) includes a titanium black (A-1) and a carbon black (A-2). Based on a total usage amount of 100 parts by weight of the titanium black (A-1) and the carbon black (A-2), a usage amount of the titanium black (A-1) is 50 parts by weight to 75 parts by weight.

Abstract: A rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based magnetic powder according to this invention contains, as main constituent components, a rare-earth element (R), iron (Fe), and nitrogen (N). Moreover, this magnetic powder has an average particle size of 1.0-10.0 μm, and contains 22.0-30.0 mass % of a rare-earth element (R) and 2.5-4.0 mass % of nitrogen (N). Further, this magnetic powder includes: a core part having any one crystal structure among a Th2Zn17 type, a Th2Ni17 type, and a TbCu7 type; and a shell layer provided on the surface of the core part and having a thickness of 1-30 nm. The shell layer contains a rare-earth element (R) and iron (Fe) so that the R/Fe atomic ratio is 0.3-5.0, and further contains 0-10 at % (exclusive of 0) of nitrogen (N). Furthermore, this magnetic powder contains compound particles composed of a rare-earth element (R) and phosphorus (P).

Abstract: A black polyester film and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The black polyester film includes a physically recycled polyester resin and a chemically recycled polyester resin. The physically recycled polyester resin is formed by a plurality of physically recycled polyester chips. The chemically recycled polyester resin is formed by a plurality of chemically recycled polyester chips and mixed with the physically recycled polyester resin. The plurality of chemically recycled polyester chips further include chemically recycled electrostatic pinning polyester chips. The chemically recycled electrostatic pinning polyester chips contain electrostatic pinning additives, and the electrostatic pinning additives are metal salts. Expressed in percent by weight based on a total weight of the polyester film, a content of the electrostatic pinning additives in the polyester film is between 0.005% and 0.1% by weight. The black polyester film further includes a black additive.
