Abstract:
A sliding door includes a door panel that has a first face, a second face that is opposite to the first face, and a top edge that defines first and second raised portions of the door panel and an open space that extends between the first and second raised portions. The sliding door includes a plurality of rollers affixed to the door panel by first and second mounting assemblies. Each of the plurality of rollers has an axis of rotation that is normal to the first face of the door panel. The sliding door includes a soft-close assembly secured to the first and second mounting assemblies at opposing ends thereof, such that the soft-close assembly is positioned within the open space between the first raised portion of the door panel and the second raised portion of the door panel.
Abstract:
An apparatus for moving sliding doors and wardrobe doors fixed to the inner face of the top of a door includes at least one carriage and at least one braking device with a slider pulled by at least one coil return spring. The door is hung from a beam made up of two extruded profiles, the first of which is fastened to the wall with screws and relative plugs; the second extruded profile is fastened to the first profile with snap-in couplings. These coupled profiles define a cavity in which the braking device is housed and stabilised with screws, fixed on a cantilevered bracket of the second extruded profile. The latter defines a sliding track for the wheels or bearings of the carriage(s), fixed to the door at a recess.
Abstract:
An anti-lift tab in a roller assembly for a door that rides along a fixed beam that does not rotate relative to the roller assembly in use. The anti-lift tab protrudes from the bottom of a face plate with keys molded onto the back face of that plate which interface with keyways contained in a castellated nut and shaft component with internal crew threads. A threaded rod is inserted through the inner diameter of a bearing seated in a roller which rides along a fixed rail. That rod is screwed into the shaft side of the castellated nut and shaft component. A screw attaches the mated thee plate/castellated nut shaft component assembly to the roller/bearing assembly. In this arrangement, the face plate with the anti-lift tab protruding from its bottom will remain fixed and not rotate relative to the roller assembly during translation of the roller assembly on a fixed beam.
Abstract:
A door suspension device includes a driving-side member, a hanger, an elastic member, and a first adjustment bolt. The hanger is configured so as to be displaceable in an opening and closing direction in conjunction with the driving-side member and supports a door. The elastic member allows relative displacements of the driving-side member and the hanger by elastically deforming in accordance with a load between the driving-side member and the hanger. The first adjustment bolt is a member for adjusting an initial value of a load that acts between the driving-side member and the hanger. The first adjustment bolt includes a male screw section to be fixed to the driving-side member, and a head which is arranged so that an axial force acting on the first adjustment bolt is received by an edge of the hanger.
Abstract:
A fully frameless sliding shower door assembly includes a sliding panel of sufficient strength to be fully self-supporting and includes a stationary panel. The need for an upper horizontal header member is eliminated by using an upper guide assembly having a guide which is fixed to the sliding panel and configured to slide about a top edge of the stationary panel. A self-centering roller assembly is attachable to the sliding panel without the need for a rail member. The roller assembly and a track therefore feature matching inverted and non-inverted generally U-shaped profiles. The shower door assembly further features inboard and outboard roller finger guards, as well as a track leveling feature which improves ease of installation.
Abstract:
A vehicle having a sliding door arranged behind a body pillar, a frame around the door opening closeable by the sliding door, a rail system provided in the region of the sliding door connected fixedly to the vehicle and having upper and lower guide rails, sliding carriages provided on the sliding door connected to the sliding door via a respective supporting arm and guided displaceably on the guide rails, and side impact protection in the region of the sliding door. At least one of the sliding carriages or supporting arms is provided with a stop. In the event of a side impact, in which the outer vehicle wall is deformed in the direction of the vehicle interior, an abutment connected to the vehicle wall comes to bear against the stop of the sliding carriage or of the supporting arm, and the position of the sliding door is thereby blocked.
Abstract:
An automatic patio sliding door for residential (home) use is created using an existing motorized automatic system which is now in use in commercial, industrial, and public building entrances. A method incorporating a bracket system is used to apply the commercial (hanging track type) automatic door system to existing residential patio sliding doors or to new patio sliding doors. The purpose is to provide hands free opening and closing of patio glass or screen doors (single or double panels). This allows for ease of use of sliding doors when hands are full, guarantees the closing of screen doors or glass doors behind the person to prevent insects getting into the house or loss of air conditioning in the house, and provides an easy access door system in the home for the physically handicapped.
Abstract:
A door suspension having a compact structure. First door rollers run in contact with a lower rail, and are rotatably supported to a first door roller supporting member that suspends a door. Second door rollers are rotatably supported to swing members swingably connected to the first door roller supporting member, and are provided so as to be capable of coming into contact with an upper rail. A drive connection portion holds the door and connects the door to an open-close drive mechanism. An elastic connection mechanism includes an elastic portion capable of changing the relative positions of the second door rollers and the drive connection portion, and connects the swing members to the drive connection portion. The second door rollers are installed between the first door rollers on the door leading end side and the door trailing end side.
Abstract:
A sliding door panel assembly comprises at least one movable door panel and a roller assembly. The roller assembly includes at least one roller mounted on an axle and at least one roller clamping plate receiving the axle. The vertical load of the door panel is substantially borne by the at least one roller. A track may be disposed beneath the roller assembly, and the roller is movable along the track. The door panel is movable by moving the roller along the track.
