    Abstract: An image processing apparatus is configured to be capable of being remotely operated by a terminal device via a wireless communication line. The image processing apparatus is equipped with a body control unit, a LAN interface, and a body operation unit. The body operation unit is capable of displaying a plurality of operation keys and capable of receiving a touch operation with respect to each of the plurality of operation keys. The LAN interface is used in order to acquire a positional relationship between the terminal device and the image processing apparatus. The body control unit, when determining that the terminal device is located close to the image processing apparatus, disables a touch operation with respect to a specific operation key among the plurality of operation keys on the body operation unit.

    Abstract: An image processing device is provided that generates a graphical user interface includingat least one image element that enables receipt of a data value of a particular type therein, the graphical user interface being generated in response to selecting a processing job to be performed by the image processing device. The generated graphical user interface is mirrored to a mobile computing device by transmitting data representative of the graphical user interface to a mobile computing device via a short distance communication protocol. A return data object is received, via the short distance communication protocol, that represents a modified graphical user interface including the at least one image element having the data value of the particular type, the data value having been provided using mobile computing device. The image processing device initiates execution of the processing job to generate job data and automatically associating the data value derived from the modified graphical user interface with the generated job data.

    Abstract: An image processing system includes a portable terminal and an image processing device that wirelessly communicates with the portable terminal. The portable terminal includes a first CPU that sends a connection request to the image processing device to request to establish a connection with the image processing device and that sends an execution start command to enable the image processing device to execute a job when the connection with the image processing device is established. The image processing device includes a wireless communication interface that establishes the connection with the portable terminal in response to the connection request from the portable terminal and a second CPU that receives the execution start command from the portable terminal, executes the job based on the execution start command in order of receipt, and terminates the connection with the portable terminal after the execution start command is received.

    Abstract: According to the present invention, when a terminal apparatus is brought close to a printing apparatus serving as a processing apparatus, the terminal apparatus uses its own NFC unit to acquire, from the printing apparatus, information for communicating with each of one or more network connection units provided in the printing apparatus. Then, using a communication unit, the terminal apparatus then searches for the printing apparatus on a network in accordance with the acquired information. In the case where the terminal apparatus has successfully identified the printing apparatus as being present on the network, the terminal apparatus transmits a processing request to the printing apparatus successfully identified on the network via the communication unit.
