A portable terminal apparatus includes: a two-dimensional code obtaining portion that obtains a two-dimensional code indicating address information; an address information judgment portion that analyzes the two-dimensional code and judges whether or not the two-dimensional code includes an IP address; an access portion that accesses an image processing apparatus residing at the IP address upon the two-dimensional code being judged as including the IP address; an MIB information obtaining portion that obtains MIB information from the image processing apparatus; and a registration portion that judges on the basis of the MIB information whether or not the image processing apparatus can be operated from the portable terminal apparatus by an application being activated, the application being installed on the portable terminal apparatus, and registers information for use of the image processing apparatus upon the image processing apparatus being judged as being able to be operated from the portable terminal apparatus.

Provided is a method of controlling an operation of an image forming apparatus by using a wearable device, the method including operations of converting a task performance request related to a task, which is transmitted from the wearable device, into an execution instruction of a first application that controls the operation of the image forming apparatus; requesting, as the first application is executed based on the execution instruction, the image forming apparatus to perform the task; and receiving, as the task is performed by the image forming apparatus, information indicating a task performance result related to the task from the image forming apparatus.

An image distribution system includes an image processing apparatus that scans a document into a scanned image and a wearable device that receives the scanned image distributed by the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus includes a device capability information acquisition unit that acquires device capability information that includes display capability information indicating image display capability of the wearable device and a configuration screen controller that controls whether or not a setting is selectable on a configuration screen displayed on a display unit of the image processing apparatus, the setting being used to generate configuration information used for scanning the document.

The invention relates to a system, a method, a wearable digital device and a recording device for remote activation of a storage operation of pictorial information. According to the invention, it involves a first wearable digital device receiving instructions from a user and storing them as input values for a processing unit using said instructions, and a wireless signaling unit for communication with external devices over a wireless link. It also involves a second device comprising a recording apparatus adapted to be set in a mode of continuous capture of pictorial information, a memory, and a wireless signaling system for communicating with external devices over a wireless link. The processing unit in the first wearable digital device is adapted to issue commands to be sent over said wireless link to said second digital device for instructing storage of captured pictorial information in the memory of said at least one second device.

An authentication processing portion of an MFP requests user authentication to a server based on user information including at least a user ID input from a mobile terminal apparatus or an operation panel. The server has a user authentication portion which performs the user authentication and a UI instruction portion which specifies, when the user authentication succeeds, a UI image displayed on a display panel of the apparatus for operating the MFP depending on the user ID, and instructs the MFP to display the UI image on the apparatus. The MFP executes image output in accordance with a user operation received from the apparatus through the wireless communication portion in a state where the UI image is displayed on the apparatus.

In various embodiments, methods, systems, and computer program products for capturing and processing digital images captured by a mobile device are disclosed. The claimed algorithms are specifically configured to perform and facilitate loan application processing by capturing an image of a document using a mobile device, and analyzing the image (optionally in conjunction with additional data that may also be captured, determined, or otherwise provided to the loan application process) to determine loan-relevant information. Select loan-relevant information may be extracted, compiled, and/or analyzed to facilitate processing of the loan application. Feedback may be provided to facilitate facile application processing, e.g. by ensuring all requisite information is submitted with the loan application. Image capture and document detection are preferably performed using the mobile device, while all other functions may be performed using the mobile device, a remote server, or some combination thereof.

A cellular phone configured to be used by an operator. The cellular phone includes a light-emitting element, a digital camera, and a memory. The light-emitting element is configured to emit light of a specific wavelength to illuminate invisible information written in invisible ink in an object to make the invisible information visible.
