Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are described for transmitting and receiving data by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) over the control plane. The methods may receive data without the use of an Internet Protocol (IP) address. In an example method, a WTRU may enter an evolved packet system (EPS) mobility management (EMM)-registered control plane only (CPO) state after receiving an attach accepted message for CPO operation, and enter an EMM-deregistered state after receiving a detach message, a tracking area update (TAU) reject message or an attach reject message. In another method, a WTRU may switch between operational modes that use an IP address and a user plane to transmit and receive data, and the CPO mode.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are techniques for inhibition of allowed closed subscriber group list. According to an aspect, a method may be implemented at a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). The method may include identifying a public land mobile network (PLMN) in which the WTRU is operating. Further, the method may include controlling closed group subscriber (CSG) selection based on the identified PLMN. For example, on a per PLMN basis, the WTRU may display to the user all CSGs or only CSGs in an operator CSG list.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for managing home nodeB (HNB) mobility in forward access channel (Cell_FACH) states. According to an aspect, a method may be implemented at a Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU). The method may include determining whether to communicate an indication to a network node for extended measurement occasion. Further, the method may include communicating the indication to the network node in response to determining to communicate the indication.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for transmitting uplink control information in an LTE Advanced system are disclosed. A user device may determine whether uplink control information and/or available channels meet certain criteria and determine whether the uplink control information should be transmitted on a physical uplink control channel, a physical uplink shared channel, or both, based on the criteria. Criteria may include the size of the uplink control information (absolute size or relative to space available on a channel or a threshold value), the type of control information bits, the number of available (i.e., active or configured) component carriers, and the amount of power that may be required to transmit the uplink control information on more than one channel.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are described for supporting wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) mobility between Home (evolved) Node Bs (H(e)NBs) that are configured to communicate with a Local Gateway (L-GW). The H(e)NBs and/or L-GW may belong to one or more Local H(e)NB Networks (LHNs). A WTRU may receive services including Selected Internet Protocol (IP) Traffic Offload (SIPTO) or Local IP Access (LIPA) services from the L-GW via one or more H(e)NBs. The WTRU may continue to receive SIPTO or LIPA services after a handover to another H(e)NB that may be in communication with the same L-GW and may belong to the same LHN. The WTRU may receive information related to the LHN or the L-GW to allow continuation of SIPTO or LIPA services as the WTRU moves among H(e)NBs and/or out of the LHN. The WTRU may receive and/or maintain one or more LHN Lists.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) using carrier aggregation is disclosed. Methods for UCI transmission in the uplink control channel, uplink shared channel or uplink data channel are disclosed. The methods include transmitting channel quality indicators (CQI), precoding matrix indicators (PMI), rank indicators (RI), hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK), channel status reports (CQI/PMI/RI), source routing (SR) and sounding reference signals (SRS). In addition, methods for providing flexible configuration in signaling UCI, efficient resource utilization, and support for high volume UCI overhead in LTE-A are disclosed.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for power control are described. Methods are included for calculating and signaling power control related data to support multiple component carriers (CCs) for which transmission may be accomplished with one or more WTRU power amplifiers (PAs). Methods are included for calculating and signaling one or more of CC-specific power control related data and PA-specific power control related data. The power control related data may include one or more of maximum power, power headroom, and transmit power. Methods for selecting which power control related data to exchange are included. Methods are included for calculating and signaling power control related data for physical UL shared channel (PUSCH), physical UL control channel (PUCCH), and simultaneous PUSCH and PUCCH transmission.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for avoiding a collision. A collision may be avoided by allocating a first set of subframes to a backhaul link transmission, and allocating a second set of subframes to an access link transmission. In one example, the second set of subframes may be a non-overlapping set of subframes with respect to the first set of subframes. In a second embodiment, a collision may be avoided by receiving a data transmission from an evolved Node-B (eNB) and transmitting an uplink (UL) grant to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and a first acknowledgement (ACK) to the eNB. The transmission may be in response to the received data transmission. The RN may avoid a collision by further transmitting an automatic ACK to the WTRU and transmitting a second UL grant to the WTRU. In a third embodiment, a collision between an access link transmission and a backhaul link transmission may be avoided by detecting a collision and determining an interface priority based on a collision occurrence type.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus may be used to enable reception of a downlink (DL) shared channel in a cooperative multipoint transmission (CoMP). The method and apparatus may determine whether CoMP is applied to a transmission. The method and apparatus may acquire other CoMP related information. The method and apparatus may apply to non-transparent CoMP scenarios.
