Abstract: A process and system for continuous flow-through dip-coating of a workpiece requires the introduction of the workpiece in a porous coating basket at a first side of a coating chamber and the removal of the coated workpiece in the coating basket from a second side of the coating compartment different from the first side. This enables the commingling of coated and uncoated workpieces to be avoided and allows for a higher throughput in the coating process.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the recovery of radiolabelled isotopes from organic substances labelled or contaminated with one or more radiolabelled isotopes, which process comprises: i) adding organic substances labelled or contaminated with a radiolabelled isotope to an acidic aqueous electrolyte containing silver ions as an electrochemically regenerable primary oxidising species; ii) subjecting the acidic aqueous electrolyte to an electric potential; and iii) recovering the radiolabelled isotope from the products of the electrochemical process resulting from the application of the electric potential; wherein the process is carried out at a slight pressure depression.

Abstract: Embodiments of a feedback-driven malware detector are directed to protecting a computer from programs that perform actions that are malicious or not expected by a user. In one embodiment, the feedback-driven malware detector performs a method that initially determines whether the state of an application program scheduled to be added to an extensibility point on a computer is already known. If the state of the object is not already known, the user is informed that an application program is being installed on the computer and that the application program is being added to an extensibility point. Then, input is obtained from the user that assists in determining whether the application program is malware.

Abstract: Improved contaminant removal from alkaline- or alkali-earth metal fluoride crystal growth material can be obtained by coprecipitating an alkaline- or alkali-earth metal fluoride with a scavenging agent during synthesis of the fluoride growth material. The coprecipitation of the alkaline- or alkali-earth metal fluoride and scavenging agent can be performed using at least one of chloride, nitrate, hydroxide and carbonate salts of the alkaline- or alkali-earth metal fluoride and scavenging agent. This provides a more intimate mixture or dispersion of the scavenging agent in solid solution or as a mechanical mixture with the alkaline- or alkali-earth metal fluoride for improved outgassing and fewer trapped impurities, leading to improved radiation hardness and bulk absorption.
