Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to synchronize wireless signal transmission by endpoints controlled by a central controller. For example, an example method of wireless communication includes receiving, at a first device, over a wired medium between the first device and a second device, a plurality of packets from the second device. Each of the plurality of packets comprises data representative of a portion of a signal corresponding to a wireless medium. The method further includes receiving, at the first device, from the second device over the wired medium a synchronization signal based on a common master clock at the second device. The method further includes synchronizing, at the first device, a local clock of the first device to the common master clock based on the synchronization signal. The method further includes reconstructing the signal corresponding to the wireless medium based on the plurality of packets and the synchronized local clock.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for Stream Classification Service (SCS) policy validation for downlink and uplink traffic. A network device receives an SCS request from an associated STA, which specifies one or more sets of TCLAS information for a data flow transmitted between the network device and the STA, each set of TCLAS information being accompanied by associated QoS profile information for the data flow. The network device compares the sets of TCLAS information and associated QoS profile information with one or more cached application profiles, and determines that there is no match. In response to the determination, the network device performs packet analysis and confirms that the sets of TCLAS information and associated QoS profile information align with the type of service of the data flow under defined network polices. In response to the confirmation, the network device applies one or more treatments to the data flow.

Abstract: A method and system for negotiating a duration of an extension portion of a preamble are disclosed. In a PPDU, a preamble extension has several forms. A station and an access point (AP) negotiate to select one or more of the forms suited to a change in the operation of the station. When the change is increased data throughput, the station sends one or more throughput-related parameters in a proposal to the AP. When the change is the number of spatial streams, the station sends the number as a parameter in the proposal. When the change is a different coding set, then the coding set is sent as the parameter in the proposal. The AP responds to the proposal which fixes the values of the parameters and the duration of the extension portion of the preamble.

Abstract: A format for a Physical layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) that can be transmitted over a network is disclosed. The PPDU includes a field having one or more bits identifying whether a vendor-specific signal field (VS-SIG) is present in the PPDU. When present, the VS-SIG includes one or more bits identifying a vendor-specific language in which vendor-specific data is presented. The VS-SIG also includes one or more bits representing the vendor-specific data in the vendor-specific language.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system and method for deconflicting locally administered medium access control addresses (LAMAs). An apparatus includes a memory and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor receives a request for a client device to use a locally administered medium access control address (LAMA) and determines that the LAMA is in use or reserved for future use by an access point that is out of range of the client device. Prior to the client device roaming to the access point, the processor transmits to the client device a message denying connectivity to the client device using the LAMA. The message indicates a LAMA that the client device is prohibited from selecting.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes preemption techniques in wireless fidelity (WiFi) networks using full duplex. An apparatus includes a first radio, a second radio, a third radio, a memory, and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor, while transmitting first messages using the first radio, receives a first frame from a device using the second radio and in response to receiving the first frame, preemptively terminates transmitting the first messages using the first radio. The processor, after terminating transmitting the first messages using the first radio, receives second messages from the device using the third radio.
