A multi-directional switch includes a switch module, including a generally rectangular base, and an actuator vertically installed into a central receiving chamber defined in the base, the actuator can tilt away from a vertical axis to close one of four corners of the base, and a manual handle mated with the switch module, defining a central hollow being open toward the actuator for fittingly receiving the actuator therein, so as to permit synchronously swinging movement of the manual handle and the actuator. For preventing the manual handle, together with the actuator, synchronously swinging toward one of four corners, after the actuator is fittingly received in the central hollow of the manual handle, at least a rib is formed at a top surface of the base for abutting against a bottom surface of the manual handle, or formed at a bottom surface of the manual handle for abutting against a top surface of the base.

A dustproof cover (1, 3) for covering an electrical connector (2, 4) includes an upper wall (10, 30), a bottom wall (12, 32), a back wall (13, 33) associated with lateral walls (11, 31), all of which define a connector receiving room (14, 34) with an opening. A plurality of ribs (15, 16 and 35) are arranged on inner surfaces of one or more of walls and protrude into the connector receiving room. The electrical connector is inserted into the connector receiving room through the opening.

An cable assembly (100) includes a cable (3) and a strain relief device (20) molded on an end of the cable. The cable (3) includes a center wire (31), a metal braiding (32) enclosing the center wire and a jacket (35) shielding the metal braiding. The strain relief device (20) consists of a first plastic layer (4) pre-molded on the metal braiding (32) and the jacket (35) and the second plastic layer (2) over-molded on the first plastic layer (4). Also, a method of making such cable assembly (100) is given.

The casing forms a plurality of slices extending along the up-to-down direction and a plurality of slots adapted for receiving said slices to joint the upper and lower halves together.
