Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support determining, at one or more sidelink user equipments (UEs), a competition level associated with another radio access technology (RAT) sharing a frequency band with the one or more sidelink UEs. A UE may determine a competition level from another RAT and may reserve resources in a sidelink resource pool based on the based on the determined competition level. For example, the UE may determine a signal strength associated with the other RAT, or may determine a ratio of failed LBT procedures, or both, based on monitoring one or more resources of the sidelink resource pool. Based on the determined competition level, the UE may determine a number of resources to reserve, or a reservation reliability, or both. The UE may transmit a resource reservation indicating the number of reserved resources, the reservation reliability, or both.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication associated with performing listen-before-talk relative to a channel occupancy time (COT). Accordingly, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an uplink communication, where the uplink communication is transmitted using a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure based at least in part on the indication. For example, the LBT procedure may be selected from a category 1 (Cat1) LBT procedure, a category 2 (Cat2) LBT procedure, or a category 3 (Cat3) LBT procedure based at least in part on the indication (e.g., included in a radio resource control message). The LBT procedure may be further based at least in part on downlink control information from the base station. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from one or more base stations, scheduling information for a multi-beam communication using a set of beams between the UE and the one or more base stations. The UE may perform, with the one or more base stations, the multi-beam communication based at least in part on: receiver assistance information for one or more beams in the set of beams associated with the multi-beam communication, and a policy to fulfil a grant according to the scheduling information, partially fulfil the grant according to the scheduling information, or not fulfil the grant according to the scheduling information using the receiver assistance information. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for joint hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for sidelink transmissions and downlink transmissions. In some examples, a base station may transmit control signaling to a user equipment (UE) indicating a configuration for a joint HARQ codebook. The UE may receive a set of sidelink transmissions and a set of downlink transmissions, generate a joint HARQ codebook based on a downlink counter (e.g., a counter downlink assignment index) for the downlink transmissions and a sidelink counter (e.g., a counter sidelink assignment index) for the sidelink transmissions, where the downlink counter and the sidelink counter are jointly summed, and transmit feedback message to the base station for the downlink transmissions and the sidelink transmissions based on the joint HARQ codebook.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to support accounting for contention-exempt synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) when validating one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS). A base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of the one or more contention-exempt SSBs, and the UE may determine to monitor for a configured CSI-RS if resources assigned to the CSI-RS fall within a time frame associated with the one or more contention-exempt SSBs. Similarly, the base station may transmit configured CSI-RS if resources assigned to the CSI-RS fall within a time frame associated with the one or more contention-exempt SSBs. The time frame associated with the one or more contention-exempt SSBs may include a slot that includes the SSB(s), a symbol that includes the SSB(s), symbols between the SSB(s), slots between the SSB(s), or any combination thereof.
