Abstract: A semiconductor device having a light sensing function and including a high-resolution display portion is provided. The semiconductor device includes a plurality of pixels, and the pixels each include first and second light-receiving devices, first to fifth transistors, a capacitor, and a first wiring. One electrode of the first light-receiving device is electrically connected to the first wiring, and the other electrode is electrically connected to one of a source and a drain of the first transistor. One electrode of the second light-receiving device is electrically connected to the first wiring, and the other electrode is electrically connected to one of a source and a drain of the second transistor. The other of the source and the drain of the second transistor is electrically connected to the other of the source and the drain of the first transistor. The other of the source and the drain of the first transistor is electrically connected to one electrode of the capacitor, one of a source and a drain of the third transistor, and a gate of the fourth transistor.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of measuring the blood flow speed in a retina blood vessel or the like of an eye is provided. The electronic device includes a display portion, a sending portion, a receiving portion, and a control circuit. The sending portion has a function of generating a first ultrasonic wave with a first frequency and a function of sending a first electric signal corresponding to the first frequency to the control circuit. The receiving portion has a function of receiving a second ultrasonic wave, which is the first ultrasonic wave reflected by an object, with a second frequency, a function of generating a second electric signal corresponding to the second frequency, and a function of sending the second electric signal to the control circuit. Note that the object is one or more selected from a retina blood vessel and a blood vessel included in a retina of a user's eye. The control circuit has a function of calculating the blood flow speed in one or more selected from the retina blood vessel and the blood vessel with the use of the first electric signal and the second electric signal and a function of sending a third electric signal corresponding to the blood flow speed to the display portion. The display portion has a function of receiving the third electric signal and displaying the blood flow speed.

Abstract: Provided is a highly reliable semiconductor device. The present invention relates to a shift register circuit including a plurality of stages of sequential circuits. An output signal of a sequential circuit is input to a sequential circuit in the subsequent stage. Before a sequential circuit outputs a signal and after the sequential circuit outputs the signal, the potential of a gate of a transistor included in the sequential circuit is changed in accordance with a clock signal so as to avoid voltage stress application between the gate and a source of the transistor for a long time. The shift register circuit can be applied to a scan line driver circuit of a display apparatus, for example.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a data generation circuit, a source driver circuit, and a pixel. The source driver circuit is electrically connected to the pixel through first and second wirings. The pixel includes a display device that is a liquid crystal device, a potential of one electrode of the display device can be a potential of the first wiring, and a potential of the other electrode of the display device can be a potential of the second wiring. The image data generation circuit has a function of generating digital image data including first and second data. One of the first and second wirings is made to have a potential corresponding to first data, and the other of the first and second wirings is made to have a potential corresponding to the second_data. The potential of the first wiring and the potential of the second wiring are interchanged.

Abstract: A novel display is provided. A display having a small change in chromaticity of a micro light-emitting diode in proportion to current density is provided. A display capable of reducing power consumption in the driver circuit when displaying a still image is provided. The display includes a plurality of pixels each including a display element and a microcontroller. The microcontroller includes a first transistor, a triangular wave generator circuit, a comparator, a switch, and a constant current circuit. The first transistor has a function of retaining a potential corresponding to data written to the pixel by being switched off. The triangular wave generator circuit has a function of generating a triangular wave signal. The comparator has a function of generating an output signal corresponding to the potential and the triangular wave signal. The switch has a function of controlling whether or not to make a current flowing in the constant current circuit flow to the display element in accordance with the output signal.

Abstract: An electronic device having a noncontact input function is provided. The electronic device includes a display device and an input device and is capable of performing an input operation even without contact. The display device includes a light-emitting device and a light-receiving device in a display portion. The input device includes a light source. The light-receiving device has a function of detecting light emitted from the light source included in the input device. Infrared light that has substantially no spectral luminous efficacy is used as the light emitted from the light source included in the input device. Therefore, even irradiation of the display portion with the light at high luminance does not affect visual recognition of the display. This structure enables a noncontact input operation with respect to the display device.

Abstract: Display data of pixels is updated at different timings. A scan line is connected to a first pixel and a second pixel, a first wiring is connected to the first pixel, and a second wiring is connected to the second pixel. In a first period, a signal for selecting the first pixel and the second pixel is supplied to the scan line. Setting data for setting a state where the display data of the first pixel is updated is supplied to the first wiring, and setting data for setting a state where the display data of the second pixel is updated is supplied to the second wiring. In a second period, a signal for selecting the first pixel and the second pixel is supplied to the scan line. Setting data for setting a state where the display data of the first pixel is not updated is supplied to the first wiring, and the setting data for setting the state where the display data of the second pixel is updated is supplied to the second wiring. In a third period, the first pixel displays first display data, and the second pixel displays second display data.
