Abstract:
A detachment system for a delivery aerial drone is disclosed. The detachment system uses a pump to apply a negative pressure to a suction cup for attaching an object to be delivered. The weight of the object is coupled to a mechanical switch, such that setting down the object opens the switch and disconnects the pump. Once the pump is disconnected from its power source, the suction is removed and the object disconnects from the vacuum system. The weight of the object is coupled to a mechanical switch, such that setting down the object opens the switch and disconnects the pump. Thus, the object releases once it is gently placed on a surface such that its weight is removed from the drone.
Abstract:
A prize replacement system for a pusher-type or crane type arcade game is disclosed where prizes are randomly distributed over the playing field by using a rotating playing field and a prize replacement unit that drops a replacement prize onto the playing field after a prize has been won. A vacuum device collects a new prize from a storage area below the playing surface, moves the prize over the playing field, and drops the prize as the playing field rotates below. Preferably the vacuum device is capable of selecting prizes of different shapes and sizes so that a wide variety of prizes can be used with the game of the present invention.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an arcade game with a rotating playing field and a radially projecting mechanism for moving targets located on the spinning mechanism board. Having the mechanism be radially projecting allows for more players by reducing the playing area that each player occupies. In a first embodiment, the player uses a vacuum mechanism. In another embodiment, the player uses a pusher to direct targets or prizes off the playing field in the radial direction. The pusher mechanism can push the targets toward the player (into a retrieval bin) or off the playing field at the center of the game. In a preferred embodiment, the game automatically replaces each displaced target with a new target so that the game always maintains the same number of targets on the playing field.
Abstract:
An amusement device characterized by a crane mechanism maneuverable within a target bin by a player includes targets having a circular profile of varying diameters. A game value is associated with each target according to the diameter size of the target, and a ticket dispenser is provided for dispensing tickets of a number or value corresponding to the value of a captured target value.
Abstract:
A ticket dispenser includes an adjustable tension device and a driver. The driver includes at least one sharp pin configured to pierce at least a portion of a thickness of a ticket strip and to pull the ticket strip in a direction along a ticket path. The ticket strip passes through the tension device as it is pulled by the driver. The tension device exerts a force on the ticket strip in a direction opposite the pulled direction. The driver can be a roller that is rotated by a motor. In addition, the ticket dispenser includes a driver guide which is adjacent and in close proximity to the driver. The ticket strip passes between the driver guide and the driver, thereby biasing the ticket strip in close proximity to the driver, and facilitating piercing of the ticket strip by the sharp pins. The driver guide includes rollers which have a groove extending around a circumference of the rollers. The sharp pins of the driver are aligned with and pass through the grooves which thereby further facilitate piercing of the ticket strip.
Abstract:
A ticket dispensing apparatus is provided including a framework having a driver roller rotatably coupled to the framework to dispense tickets therefrom. Also included is a sensor for monitoring the dispensing of the tickets. A motor is coupled to the drive roller and in communication with the sensor to rotate the drive roller and thereby advance the tickets. Further coupled to the framework is a support for supporting the tickets. For maintaining the tickets in operational relationship with the sensor and the drive roller, at least one guide is coupled to the support. In use, the guide is adjustable to accommodate tickets of varying widths. Also, the guide is substantially rigid in order to avoid bending the tickets.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an interactive funnel amusement device. The interactive funnel amusement device allows a user to interact with the interactive funnel amusement device to a greater extent than prior art funnel devices. In one embodiment, the interactive funnel amusement device includes a funnel and a target. The target is located on an interior surface of the funnel such that when an object is rolled along the interior surface of the funnel the object is capable of interacting with the target. The interactive funnel amusement device can also include an adjustable guide. The adjustable guide is capable of guiding the object along one of a number of trajectories along the funnel such that the object rolls around the interior surface of the funnel in a substantially spiral manner. The adjustable guide can also be used to aim the object along a trajectory that causes the object to interact with the target located on the interior surface of the funnel. The trajectory of the object may be varied along the horizontal plane, vertical plane and in the angular orientation of the object.
Abstract:
An amusement apparatus or game comprises a moveable surface on which a plurality of items are distributed, and a pusher device for operation by a player in attempting to push items off the surface. The moveable surface is driven in a first predetermined path, and the pusher device is moveable in a linear path transverse to the path of travel of the surface. A reversible drive mechanism which is at least partially controlled by the player moves the pusher device in a linear path transversely across the moving surface. A delivery chute at one end of the path of the pusher device is arranged to deliver any item swept off the surface to the player.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an amusement game wherein coins are dropped onto a flat surface over which a vertical dam is horizontally translated. The vertical dam translates over a portion of the flat surface and will thus drop certain of the accumulated coins over the edge. The coins, as they drop over the edge, are collected in a counting chute to be synchronously counted in a memory which is then synchronously unloaded to vend out a corresponding number of tokens.
