    Abstract: A flexible sensor device includes a device layer including at least a first sensor configured to measure sensor data relevant to an object of interest, a flexible electronics layer including flexible circuit connected to the first sensor, a flexible substrate located between the flexible electronics layer and a first adhesive layer, a flexible tape cover that is on the device layer opposite the flexible substrate, the flexible tape cover covering the device layer, and a coupling element, located in a first aperture, the coupling element coupling the first sensor to the object of interest when the sensor device is attached to the object of interest. The first aperture is in one of the flexible substrate and the flexible substrate, overlapping the first sensor and exposing the coupling element to the object of interest.

    Abstract: A system is disclosed for tracking and monitoring sets of assets in or on a container using RFID-RF tags associated with the assets. The system comprises a specimen holder bin or similar container and a wireless tag affixed to the specimen holder bin. The specimen bin holder is configured to hold a plurality of assets. The wireless tag comprises a radio frequency identifier (RFID) circuit, a radio frequency (RF) circuit, a processor, a memory storing an identifier (ID) associated with the RFID circuit, and an energy source electrically connected to the RFID circuit, the RF circuit, and the processor. The wireless tag is configured to broadcast the identifier associated with the RFID circuit responsive to an interrogation signal by one or more gateways associated with the system. In some embodiments, each asset of the plurality of assets additionally comprises an RFID tag.

    Abstract: A method and system for replacing a first wireless node in an IoT system includes determining, by the first wireless node, that the first wireless node needs imminent replacement. The determination may be made, for example, based on a battery of the first wireless node being below a threshold level. The first wireless node initiates a discovery protocol for a second wireless node installed in proximity to the first wireless node, the second wireless node installed to replace the first wireless node. Upon discovery of the second wireless node, the first wireless node transmits a configuration file to the second wireless node, which the second wireless node copies to a storage of the second wireless node. The second wireless node configures itself to operate as a replacement for the first wireless node in the IoT system, based at least in part on the copied configuration file.

    Abstract: A method includes determining that an asset with an associated tracking device is lost, and, in response, remotely activating a cellular communication system of the tracking device. A network carrier access plan that provides cellular network service provided by a network carrier to the cellular communication system is also activated. Location data for the asset is received from the tracking device, the location data transmitted from the tracking device using a cellular network connection. The current location of the lost asset is determined based on the received location data.

    Abstract: In some implementations, a wireless sensing system may receive sensor data associated with an asset. The sensor data may be associated with a tampering event and the tampering event may include an action performed on the asset. The wireless sensing system may further determine whether the tampering event is performed by an authorized user of the wireless sensing system. The wireless sensing system may further determine whether the tampering event is performed within an authorized location of the wireless sensing system. The wireless sensing system may transmit a notification to a user of the wireless sensing system. The notification may alert the user of the wireless sensing system that the tampering event has occurred.
