Abstract: A mobile robot rotates a spin mop to move a main body along a surface and clean the surface. A location change of the main body during its motion is analyzed to determine if the robot is traveling abnormally. If abnormal traveling is occurring, the location where it is occurring is stored and re-cleaning of the location is initiated. The location where abnormal traveling occurred may be considered in next cleaning to improve cleaning efficiency.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus of re-cleaning, a cleaning robot, and a storage medium for improving cleaning quality. The method of re-cleaning includes: obtaining a grid map of a target area, wherein the grid map includes at least one primary cleaning partition; determining whether a primary cleaning partition meeting a re-cleaning condition is present, if so, the primary cleaning partition meeting the re-cleaning condition is designated as a re-cleaning partition to obtain at least one re-cleaning partition, wherein the re-cleaning condition is that the primary cleaning partition is provided with an along-wall mark and is not filled up by a cleaning mark; determining whether a re-cleaning partition that the cleaning robot can reach is present in the at least one re-cleaning partition according to a preset obstacle information database; and if so, navigating to a target partition for cleaning.

Abstract: There is provided a moving robot including a light projector, an image sensor and a processing unit. The light projector projects a vertical light segment and a horizontal light segment toward a moving direction. The image sensor captures, toward the moving direction, an image frame containing a first light segment image associated with the vertical light segment and a second light segment image associated with the horizontal light segment. The processing unit recognizes a plush carpet in the moving direction when a vibration intensity of the second light segment image is higher than a predetermined threshold, and an obstacle height calculated according to the first light segment image is larger than a height threshold.

When the mop module is coupled to the robotic cleaner, the robotic cleaner may be configured to electrically couple to the docking station using the first set of robot charging contacts. When the mop module is not coupled to the robotic cleaner, the robotic cleaner may be configured to electrically couple to the docking station using the second set of robot charging contacts.

Abstract: A robot cleaner includes a rolling cleaning module including a rolling member configured to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise when viewed from a left side while in contact with a floor, a sensor unit, and a controller. The controller is configured to determine a change in position of the robot cleaner and a change in load current of a motor connected to the rolling member based on data detected by the sensor unit, and determine that a specific area of the floor is a contaminated area when there is a change in the position and a change in the load current.

Abstract: A surface treating system including a robotic unit including a main body, a traction arrangement that defines a ground plane of the robotic unit, and an articulated arm is provided. The articulated arm includes an upper arm section and a lower arm section. The upper arm section is attached to the main body at a shoulder joint. The lower arm section is attached to the upper arm section at an elbow joint, and an end effector is defined at a distal end of the lower arm section. The articulated arm is movable between a stowed position and a fully deployed position through a generally vertical plane of motion. Abstract: A robot cleaner of the present disclosure includes: a main body forming an outer shape; a pair of rotary mops configured to rotate in contact with a floor to move the main body; a drive motor configured to rotate the pair of rotary mops; a mop sensing unit comprising at least one micro switch provided on a surface of the rotating plate configured to output a sensing signal when the mop cloth is attached; and a controller configured to determine attachment state of the mop cloth based on the sensing signal and control the driving of the rotary mop. Accordingly, the robot cleaner may detect whether the mop cloth is attached to the rotating mop, and alert the user, thereby protecting the floor by preventing wet cleaning without the mop.
