Abstract: A water screen for submergence within a body of water with the screen being supported by a pump intake conduit. A support structure of the screen in place on the intake conduit supports a rotatable screen. Abstract: A high pressure filter comprises an elongated casing having an inlet and an outlet at the upper end thereof and a filter basket assembly mounted within the casing at a predetermined distance from the walls of the casing. The filter basket assembly comprises a fine mesh screen rolled on its short length and encompassing a central passage through which fluid from the inlet is directed and a perforated tube into which said screen is inserted. The fluid flows from the central passage through the filter screen and tube and along the casing to the outlet. A handle assembly fits over the upper end of the perforated tube and is joined to a base in an integral unit by means of an elongated rod extending the length of the tube to permit ease of replacement.

Abstract: A filter used in irrigation systems comprises a hollow screening and filtering body with inlet and outlet ports. A Venturi pipe is connected with the interior of said body. The screening and filtering body is placed in a casing which has an outlet. A conduit leads from the interior of the screening and filtering body into a container. From the interior of that container a further conduit leads to a point substantially co-incident with the throat of the Venturi pipe. Abstract: A fluid filter for swimming pools and the like is disclosed. The filter includes a cylindrical housing internally of which are concentrically and nestingly positioned an inner, primary filter that is generally cup-shaped and an outer generally cup-shaped secondary filter, each of which have transversely extending base walls. The housing of the filter includes fluid inlet and outlet means as well as a valve for opening and closing a drain passageway that provides fluid communication between the interior of the filter and discharge conduit means. The valve includes a flapper that is hingedly secured to the transverse base wall of the primary filter with means being included for raising and lowering the flapper from a remote position such as the top of the cylindrical housing after the cover therefor has been removed. The flapper valve permits the rapid discharge of the filter contents through the discharge conduit to a waste line. The discharge line extends through a base member that rotatably supports the cylindrical housing and is in fluid communication with the flapper valve and the drain passageway.
