Abstract:
An apparatus for monitoring fuel filter performance and transmitting performance information. The performance information may be transmitted wirelessly to a computer or a wireless telephone and then transmitted to a technician. The performance information is preferably transmitted with location information which identifies the location of the filter for which maintenance is required. The information may also be transmitted to a web server which can store the information in a database and also send information via text messaging or telephone voice transmission or other automatic electronic transmission mechanism.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter element (1) for separating media, especially for filtering fluids such as hydraulic liquids. Said filter element can be received in a filter housing (2), with an inlet point (32) for the medium to be filtered and an outlet point (34) for the filtered medium. The invention is characterised in that at least one data memory (40, 42) forms part of the filter element (1), in such a way that the data stored in the data memory (40, 42) can be electronically read out of the data memory (40, 42) by means of a reading appliance (44, 46) arranged outside the filter element. The invention also relates to an associated data transmission device.
Abstract:
A filtering apparatus and replaceable filter assembly including an electronic filter identification system having an electronic label on the filter and a read-out mechanism on the filtering apparatus. The read-out mechanism is connected to a control unit of the filtering apparatus and the control unit is influenced by the read-out mechanism. The control unit may be actuable only upon disposing a filter in the filtering apparatus having a proper or predetermined electronic label. The filter identification system may also be interactive. The electronic label on the filter includes a read/write memory which can store the number of operating hours of the filter.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for carrying out integrity tests on filter elements by means of test gases, comprising a device housing (3), with an electronic controller (4), arranged therein for regulation and control of the progress of a test programme for filter elements, a filter housing (6), for housing a filter element (2) under test, a pneumatic unit (5), connected to the controller (4) and the filter housing (6), in particular for the generation and measurement of gas pressures, an electronic memory unit (10), which may be connected to the filter element (2) under test and a communication unit (13′), connected to the controller (4), for the exchange of data between the controller (4) and the electronic memory element (10). The communication unit (13′) is preferably embodied as an antenna (14′) and the electronic memory element (10) as a transponder (11). In addition to the device a method for carrying out integrity tests and a computer programme product are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device and method for monitoring the integrity of filtering installations consisting of a filter housing (1) designed to perform integrity tests and for filtration, equipped with a plurality of filter elements (2, 3) and an electronic testing and monitoring unit (4) designed for monitoring and performing integrity tests, said filter elements (2, 3) having each a storage element and a communicating part (7) being connected to the monitoring and testing unit arranged in the filtering housing, whereon data of said electronic storage elements can be read. The invention also concerns a method for monitoring the integrity of filter installations by means of a plurality of filter elements (2, 3) in a filter housing (1) and of an electronic testing and monitoting unit designed to monitor and perform integrity tests, data stored by electronic storage elements (6) arranged on the filter elements (6) capable of being exchanged with the monitoring and testing unit, identification data and other data concerning the filter elements derived from the electronic storage elements (6) capable of being selected and of constituting the basis for integrity monitoring and testing.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for monitoring service-intensive replaceable parts in an assembly in which information regarding a replaceable part (1), such as specifications, physical dimensions, physical properties, functions and/or other data for the replaceable part, is stored on a suitable memory component (5) in and/or on the replaceable part (1). The stored data is read with a reading device at a predetermined time or at predetermined time intervals and transmitted to an evaluation unit. The read data can be compared in the evaluation unit with preset data and, after evaluating the results of the comparison of the data, an appropriate change in the replaceable part or in the operation of the assembly may or may not be carried out.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter insert for insertion into a filter housing of a fluid filter, comprising a filter material, which is designed to be flowed through by a fluid to be filtered during operation of the fluid filter from a raw side to a pure side of the fluid filter, and to a floatable radio module, which is designed to float on a water quantity located in a water collection area of the fluid filter during operation of the fluid filter.
Abstract:
A modular filtration platform having at least one manifold head and at least one respective filter cartridge assembly. Each manifold head is connected to one another to establish a water flow in a series or parallel manner. Each filter cartridge assembly is releasably secured from rotation relative to the manifold head by a locking mechanism. An aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar mates with a protruding resilient extension on either the manifold head or support bracket. Alternatively, an aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar and an aperture on the manifold head annular collar mate with a protruding member from a locking ring extending through both apertures. An integrated sensor package may be integrated with the system for true managed water visible/audible indications and Wi-Fi interface to facilitate virtually instantaneous response times for filtration needs.
Abstract:
A filter device including a probe where a filter element probe first end selectively engages with a sensing unit located in a filter head and a filter element probe second end is located in a contaminant portion of a filter canister. The probe fixedly engages through the filter element utilizing a sealing component. The filter element is disposed in the filter canister that engages with the filter head.
