Abstract:
A powder layer composite includes a base and a powder layer having a thickness of 100 μm or less and disposed on the base. An average of a total value of a number of powder aggregates having a long diameter of 500 μm or greater and a number of pinholes having a long diameter of 500 μm or greater, in any of a plurality of different regions of 20 mm×20 mm on a surface of the powder layer, is 0.2 pieces/cm2 or less.
Abstract:
A powder supply device includes: a hopper that stores powder; a tubular chute that extends in an axial direction, includes one end connected to a lower end of the hopper, and discharges the powder supplied from the hopper from a discharge port provided at an opposite end thereof; an auger screw that is rotatably provided in the chute and includes a helical blade for transporting the powder toward the discharge port; and at least one strip-shaped portion which is provided on an inner wall surface of the chute and has an elongated recessed or protruding shape and of which a longitudinal direction extends in a direction intersecting with at least a part of the blade.
Abstract:
An arrangement is disclosed for the preferably automatic coating of objects with a coating material, in particular coating powder. The arrangement includes at least one spray device having a spray nozzle via which the coating material is dispensable in a main spraying direction. An extension is further provided, wherein an end region of the extension facing the spray device is preferably detachably connected to an end region of the spray device associated with the extension opposite from the spray nozzle. The arrangement further includes a preferably horizontally extending guide via which the extension with the spray device connected thereto can be longitudinally moved in the direction of extension of the guide relative to the object to be coated. The main spraying direction of the spray nozzle may be implemented so as to deviate from the direction of extension of the guide by a predefined or definable angle.
Abstract:
An apparatus for enrobing a product portion can include a polymer spray head arranged to direct a plurality of polymeric fibers in an upward direction and levitate product portions in a polymer enrobing zone above the polymer spray head. Polymeric fibers produced by the polymer spray head can wrap around the product portions levitated in the polymer enrobing zone to create an enrobed product. Side guide structure(s) and/or air knife(s) can be provided adjacent to the polymer enrobing zone to inhibit levitated product portions from falling out of the polymer enrobing zone and/or to guide levitated product portions along a desired path. Exemplary enrobed products include smokeless tobacco products.
Abstract:
A powder feeder for a cold spray system includes a rotatable drum body, a housing surrounding the drum body, and a support structure. The support structure couples to the housing and supports the housing such that the drum body rotates about a rotation axis to provide in-situ blending of powder disposed within an interior of the drum body.
Abstract:
A thermal spraying system includes a fixing device and a thermal spraying apparatus that are relatively movable. The thermal spraying apparatus includes a hollow pipe, an extrusion die, a transporting device, a helical pipe, a fluid supplying device, and a heater. The hollow pipe defines an accommodating space. The extrusion die is connected with the hollow pipe. The extrusion die has a nozzle. The nozzle is in spatial communication with the accommodating space. The transporting device is used for moving a raw material to pass through the nozzle. The hollow pipe is surrounded by the helical pipe. An end of the helical pipe is connected to the nozzle. The fluid supplying device is connected to another end of the helical pipe. The heater encloses the helical pipe and the hollow pipe for heating the helical pipe and the accommodating space.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a Powder supply system for supplying powder to a powder spray device comprising a powder supply hopper; a powder fluidizing device for fluidizing powder positioned in the powder supply hopper; a powder pump for conveying powder from the powder supply hopper to the spray device. According to the invention the powder supply hopper is pivotally mounted to a support structure. The invention further relates to a method for color change in a powder supply system.
