    Abstract: The invention relates to a redispersible powder composition comprisinga) a base polymer from the group comprising vinyl ester polymers, styrene polymers, acrylate polymers and vinyl chloride polymers,b) 2 to 15% by weight, relative to the base polymer, of polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of hydrolysis of 85 to 94 mol % and a Hoppler viscosity of 2 to 25 mPa.multidot.s,c) 3 to 30% by weight, relative to the total weight of polymer components, of a fine antiblocking agent,d) 0.1 to 2% by weight, relative to the base polymer, of antifoams, which containse) 1 to 8% by weight, relative to the base polymer, of a fully hydrolyzed 1-alkylvinyl ester/vinyl ester copolymer having a Hoppler viscosity of 1 to 5 mPa.multidot.s. The redispersible composition according to the invention is suitable in particular for use in flowing, hydraulically setting leveling compounds. Further areas of application for the redispersible powder composition according to the invention are its use in building adhesives, mortars, as an additive to gypsum, and in plasters and emulsion paints.

    Abstract: Fibers in non-woven fibrous products are bonded together by a binder comprising a heat-cured product of a water insoluble copolymer of (i) an N-methylolamide which is N-methylolacrylamide or N-methylolmethacrylamide, and (ii) an acrylic acid ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid and a C.sub.1 to C.sub.8 alkanol, modified with (iii) a polyalkylene glycol of the formulaHO--(RO).sub.n --Hwherein R is an alkylene group of 2 to 6 carbon atoms and n is a number having an average value of 4 to 50. Preferred acrylic acid esters are ethyl acrylate and butyl acrylate, and the preferred polyalkylene glycol is a polyethylene glycol characterized by a molecular weight in the range of 300 to 2000. The copolymer may also contain units derived from unsaturated aliphatic carboxylic acids. Preferably the copolymer contains units derived from itaconic acid. The itaconic acid stabilizes aqueous dispersions of the copolymer and adds stiffness to the treated fibrous products without detracting from resilience and solvent resistance.

    Abstract: A polythiophene dispersion including: (a) a polythiophene copolymer of a first monomer according to Formula I and a second monomer to Formula II, wherein A represents a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C5 alkylene bridge further functionalized with at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphate ester or salt thereof, a sulfate ester or salt thereof and a carboxylic acid or salt thereof; B represents a substituted or unsubstituted C1 to C5 alkylene bridge with the proviso that B is not further functionalized with a pH responsive group; and a molar ratio of the first monomer to the second monomer is from 1/4 to 4/1, (b) a polymeric polyanion wherein at least 75 mol % of the monomeric units of the polymeric polyanion are functionalized with a functional group selected from the group consisting of a sulfonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphonic acid or salt thereof, a phosphate ester or salt thereof, a sulfate ester or salt thereof and a carboxylic acid or salt thereof, characterized in that a molar ratio of the functional groups of the polyanion to the sum of the first and second monomers of the polythiophene copolymer is from 1.1 to 1.75.
