Abstract: Disclosed herein is a primer coating composition, which is free of or essentially free of metal effect pigments, including besides water and/or organic solvent(s), a film-forming polymer, optionally a crosslinking agent and further a pigment mixture P-C including in turn at least two kinds of pigments being different from one another, namely at least one organic black or inorganic black pigment P-C1, which is not a carbon black pigment, and which is transparent or substantially transparent to NIR-radiation or which is reflective or substantially reflective to NIR-radiation, and at least one inorganic white pigment P-C2, which is reflective or substantially reflective to NIR-radiation. Further disclosed herein are methods of forming a primer coating film and layer, an at least partially coated substrate, a multilayer coating system and a method for preparing the multilayer coating system.

Abstract: A fiber-reinforced polymer composition comprising from about 60 wt. % to about 90 wt. % of a polymer matrix that contains a propylene polymer and from about 10 wt. % to about 40 wt. % of a plurality of long reinforcing fibers that are distributed within the polymer matrix, is provided. The polymer composition exhibits a dielectric constant of about 4 or less and dissipation factor of about 0.01 or less at a frequency of 2 GHz. Further, the polymer composition exhibits a Charpy unnotched impact strength of about 20 kJ/m2 or more as determined in accordance with ISO Test No. 179-1:2010 at a temperature of about 23° C., and a Limiting Oxygen Index of about 25 or more as determined in accordance with ISO 4589:2017.

Abstract: A polymer composition is disclosed that contains glass fibers and has an excellent balance of properties. The polymer composition displays a comparative tracking index of greater than about 400 volts and a dielectric strength of greater than about 4 kV/mm. In addition, the polymer composition results in excellent surface properties even when molding parts having a long length. Abstract: There is described a primer composition comprising a silicone polyether, a reinforcing filler, one or more polydiorganosiloxane polymer(s) and a carrier and the preparation and use thereof. The primer composition is particularly designed for use with silicone elastomers especially for addition (hydrosilylation) curing silicone elastomers, the preparation thereof, and to a process for improving the adhesion of silicone elastomeric compositions to pre-cured silicone elastomer material substrates. A method for improving the adhesion of silicone elastomer to a pre-cured silicone elastomeric substrate is provided. The method comprises: applying a primer composition to a silicone elastomer substrate; optionally, air-drying (or baking) the primer composition to form a uniform primer film covering the substrate; applying a hydrosilylation curable silicone rubber composition to the substrate covered with the primer to obtain a composite; and curing the composite in order to obtain a silicone elastomer adhesively bonded to a silicone elastomer substrate.
