Abstract:
Embodiments of the knife cut resistant sleeve comprise a spring enclosed by a cut resistant material. The knife cut resistant sleeve is configured to be placed onto a rope of varying sizes and protect the rope from sharp objects. Embodiments of the knife cut resistant sleeve use cut resistant material and can be capable of rotation when hit by a knife in order to prevent the rope from being cut. The sleeve is configured to provide the correct amount of coverage on the rope depending on the length of the rope.
Abstract:
A cable includes a sheath, and a coating film covering a circumference of the sheath. The coating film adheres to the sheath. The static friction coefficient of a surface of the coating film is smaller than the static friction coefficient of a surface of the sheath. The adhesion strength between the sheath and the coating film is 0.30 MPa or more.
Abstract:
A belt for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt, a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the plurality of tension members, and a primary overlay layer applied to one or more of the plurality of tension members or at least a portion of the jacket material. An elevator system includes a hoistway, an elevator car movable therein, and a belt operably connected to the elevator car to suspend and/or drive the elevator car along the hoistway. The belt includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a belt length, a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the plurality of tension members, and a primary overlay layer applied to one or more of the plurality of tension members or at least a portion of the jacket material.
Abstract:
A security device has a flexible strap (26) with a lock unit (28) attached at each end. The strap (26) comprises a plurality of longitudinally extending multi-filament cables or ropes (2) arranged in a substantially planar array embedded in an elastomeric material (4). The cables or ropes (2) have a coating of primer for creating a bond with the elastomeric material (4). The primer may be restricted to the external surface of the cables or ropes (2), or some of the surfaces of the filaments may be free of primer. This facilitates relative movement of the filaments during flexure or compression of the strap (26). Moreover, an extrusion process for manufacturing the strap (26) including a priming station (12) is disclosed.
Abstract:
A core-sheath rope, comprising a textile core with one or several stationary threads extending in the longitudinal direction of the rope, an outer sheath provided in the form of a hollow braid, and an inner sheath provided in the form of a hollow braid and surrounding the textile core. The rope is characterized in that at least part of the stationary threads of the textile core are braided individually into the hollow braid of the inner sheath.
Abstract:
A belt for drive systems includes: an elastic and flame-retardant belt body made from a polymeric material and at least one flame retardant additive, the belt body having a cover layer as a belt back and a substructure which has a force transmission zone; and a tension member embedded in the belt body, wherein the belt body is partially or completely provided with a coating, which coating is single- or multi-layered.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a core-sheath rope (1), comprising a textile core (2) with one or several stationary threads (21-28) extending in the longitudinal direction of the rope, an outer sheath (3) provided in the form of a hollow braid, and an inner sheath (4) provided in the form of a hollow braid and surrounding the core (2). The rope according to the invention is characterized in that at least part of the stationary threads of the core (21-26) are braided individually into the hollow braid (41, 42) of the inner sheath (4).
Abstract:
A composite cable or rope is described. The cable or rope has an inner metallic rope or core, consisting of a plurality of metal strands and a plurality of covering layers formed around the inner metallic core. An innovative anchoring and safety system is also described. The system has one or more anchorages, fixed to the roof, in each of which the rope is stably locked by screwing, so as not to create instability problems for people attached to the rope.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a core-sheath rope (1), comprising an outer sheath (3) provided in the form of a hollow braid and an inner sheath (4) provided in the form of a hollow braid, wherein thread changes between threads (41, 42) of the inner sheath (4) and threads (31, 32) of the outer sheath (3) and/or enlacements between threads (41, 42) of the inner sheath (4) and threads (31, 32) of the outer sheath (3) are provided in certain places (5, 6). The rope according to the invention is characterized in that bridge threads (51, 61) extending in the longitudinal direction of the rope are provided in the places of the thread changes and/or enlacements, with the threads of the outer sheath and the inner sheath, respectively, which change from the inside to the outside and from the outside to the inside, respectively, being guided around those bridge threads.
