Abstract:
The invention relates to a terry product consisting of a textile base material and a pile associated with the base material, which is characterized in that the base material and/or the pile comprise(s) at least partially a cellulose fiber selected from the group consisting of viscose fibers, modal fibers, polynosic fibers and lyocell, which cellulose fiber has a titer of more than
Abstract:
The woven fabric according to the invention comprises a warp and weft yarns, the weft yarns comprise first weft yarns and second weft yarns, the first weft yarns and the warp yarns form a base layer of the fabric, while the at least one plurality of second weft yarns forms an additional layer of the fabric that can be broken under a stress without damaging the base layer to change the appearance of the fabric and of the clothing articles made of said fabric.
Abstract:
A V-ribbed belt that includes a ribbed surface covered with fabric is provided. The fabric is stretchable in two predetermined directions. A method for manufacturing the V-ribbed belt is also provided. The method includes placing a belt matrix about a mandrel, placing a fabric about the external circumference of the belt matrix which wraps around the mandrel, placing the mandrel inside a shell having a plurality of grooves on the internal circumference, expanding the belt matrix and the fabric toward the internal circumference of the shell and thus pressing the fabric onto the internal circumference having the multi-ribbed structure, and curing the belt matrix with the fabric. The fabric is stretchable to accommodate itself to the multi-ribbed structure.
Abstract:
A process is described wherein pile yarn is woven with cotton weft and warp yarns to produce terry fabrics, such as towels. The fabric is then washed in warm water to dissolve the PVA fiber. The amount of fibers dissolved, depends upon the count of the yarn or yarns used. By dissolving the PVA fibers, a hollow air space is produced throughout the pile yarn, corresponding to an increase in the air space in the pile yarn. By increasing the in space in the pile yarn, the resulting towels are softer and bulkier than standard cotton towels. The present invention further relates to pile yarn in terry woven fabric (warp yarn), or weft yarn, in the case of flat fabrics.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to yarns and fabrics that exhibit anti-static, anti-odor, and anti-microbial properties. The yarn is comprised of several groups of predetermined fibers. One of these groups of predetermined fibers comprises fibers that exhibit anti-microbial, anti-odor and anti-static characteristics. In one embodiment, the yarn comprises a first plurality of fibers, a second plurality of fibers that are different from the fibers of the first plurality, and a third plurality of fibers that are different from the fibers of the first and second pluralities. In one embodiment, the fibers which exhibit anti-microbial, anti-odor and anti-static properties are metallic coated fibers. Other fibers used to form different embodiments of the yarns include cotton, nylon, polyester, wool, meta-aramid fibers, para-aramid fibers, and stretch fibers.
Abstract:
A flame resistant fabric with better tear strength and specifically a flame resistant fabric with tear strength flame resistant 100% cotton yarn are provided. The 100% cotton yarn is produced using a combination of compact spinning technology and gassing and/or singeing process performed in tandem, the yarn is weaved into fabric by pre-established process and the fabric is flame retardant finished by using chemicals and lubricants by pre-established process to form the flame resistant fabric with better tear strength. Also, a method of manufacturing the flame resistant cotton fabric that has a better tear strength after fire resistant treatments provided. Advantageously, the flame resistant fabric is affordable, light weight and has better tensile and tear strength.
Abstract:
A mostly cotton yarn terry cloth product is provided with borders having high content polyester yarns. The polyester borders are more rugged, and thus aid in preventing fraying and failure along the edges. In addition, reinforcing ribs, also formed from yarns have a high polyester content, may be provided that extend from a border on one side of the terry cloth product to a border on the other side. This feature anchors the borders in place, limiting failure at the juncture of the border and the adjacent cotton.
