Abstract:
The present embodiment provides a hinge assembly of a refrigerator. The hinge assembly includes a bracket; a shaft rotatably supported by the bracket and providing a rotation center of a door; a transfer unit transferring selectively rotatory power of the door to the shaft in order to move the shaft upward and downward; and an operating unit operating the transfer unit.
Abstract:
In order to avoid a vehicle door hitting the ceiling or wall when the door opens, it is necessary to provide an open-limiting device for holding the door at any open angle. The door is opened with a gear in the open-limiting device. In the open-limiting device for a vehicle door, a ratchet engages with or disengage from the gear by an electric actuator, so that the door is held at any open angle. When the ratchet engages with the gear, the ratchet is capable of disengaging from the gear only if the door is closed, but the ratchet remains in engagement with the gear if the door is opened. So the door can be closed manually by a small force.
Abstract:
A damper includes a rotary shaft, a sleeve, damping oil, and the damping oil is filled in a closed chamber formed between the rotary shaft and the sleeve; cooperating grooves are formed on the rotary shaft; partition parts are formed between the two cooperating grooves; oil passing holes provided on the partition parts are communicated with the two cooperating grooves; the oil passing holes are controlled by the check valves to make the damping oil flow in a single direction between the two cooperating grooves; the rotary shaft passing through the cooperating hole on the necking stop wall of the sleeve is connected by a connection member; two spacers are integrated with the sleeve; the height of the spacers locating in the cooperating grooves just fits in with the depth of the cooperating groove; an oil passing gap formed between the rotary shaft and the sleeve and is variable.
Abstract:
A ratchet hinge for a knee or elbow orthosis having a pair of struts, connected to one strut is a pair of plates in spaced relation to one another. The other strut is pivotably connected between the plates and has a slot formed therein for receiving a locking assembly. The plates have a plurality of ratchets on their outer periphery and a locking slot formed in the edge of the plates. The locking assembly has a spring biased locking pin disposed between two plats such that the pin engages the plates to lock the hinge or allow limited movement.
Abstract:
A locking arrangement for a door system of a transit vehicle includes a combination of a lock mechanism and an electromagnetic brake. The lock mechanism enables positive locking of at least one door but does not require substantial contact between moving and stationary lock elements. The lock mechanism is connected with the manual release means for door opening during an emergency. The electromagnetic brake maintains door seal compression in the closed and locked condition which improves sealing capabilities and provides for reliable lock mechanism operation. Such combination provides locking redundancy and meets various requirements regarding annunciation and manual release operation.
Abstract:
A display tilting apparatus includes a moving bracket that supports a display, a ratchet mechanism that controls pivoting of the moving bracket to a first direction, an anti-tilting mechanism that inhibits pivoting of the moving bracket to a second direction that is opposite of the first direction, and a fixed bracket that is pivotably connected to the moving bracket via a pivot axis. The anti-tilting mechanism includes a first anti-tilting member, and a second anti-tilting member that is mounted on the fixed bracket. The first anti-tilting member and the second anti-tilting member are mounted so as to make a physical contact to each other.
Abstract:
A clutch comprises a driving rotor (11; 52; 83; 202; 302) coupled to a driving source (2) such as a motor, and a driven rotor (12; 53; 85; 204; 303) directly engaged with the driving rotor. Both rotors are accommodated in a housing (13; 51; 82; 201; 301). A lock member (14; 54; 86; 119; 205; 304) comprised of rollers or balls is located between the driven rotor and the housing. When the driven rotor itself is rotated, the lock member is held between the driven rotor and the housing to block the rotation of the driven rotor relative to the housing. When the driving source rotates the driving rotor, the lock member is released from the held state to allow the driving rotor to rotate the driven rotor relative to the housing. Such a clutch can block the transmission of the rotation from the driven rotor to the driving rotor without fail, and can reduce the strength required to both rotors.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a control of the movement of a sliding or swinging and sliding door (1) in its end closing area (X), wherein by means of a free wheel (8) or the like the movement of the door leaf (2) in the closing direction is possible always, but the movement in the opening direction is possible only when a brake, coupling (9) or other fixation for the part of the free wheel remote from the door leaf is lifted, and wherein a device for determining the door position is present. The invention is characterized in that possibly present conventional measures as safety devices against pinching in the predetermined end closing area (x) are deactivated; that, as long as the door leaf (2) is within the end closing area (x), the current supply of the door drive (4) and thus the closing force acting on the door leaf is reduced; and that the brake, coupling (9) or the like, which acts onto the part of the free wheel (8), remote from the door leaf, is lifted. The invention also concerns modifications of this basic idea.
Abstract:
A power door for a transit vehicle includes a door panel, a base and hanger unit, a door support, a drive member and a motor. The door support is attached to the door panel and includes at least one roller which engages a hanger portion of the base and hanger unit for motion along the base and hanger unit. The hanger portion includes a longitudinal cavity and a slot communicating with the cavity. The drive member is disposed within the cavity and a drive member connector passes through the slot to connect the drive member to the door support.
Abstract:
An automatic door opener adaptable to manual doors which includes a door hinged along at least one edge to a door frame, and manually movable between open and closed positions; an automatic door opener mechanism secured to the door, which further includes a motor; a first gear driven by the motor; at least an output gear for driving an output shaft secured to the door; a pair of gear dog portions on a face of the output gear defining free travel spaces therebetween; a pair of pins extending from the output shaft within the travel spaces, so that when the output gear is rotated by the motor, the gear dog portions engage the pins on the output shaft and rotate the door from a first closed position to a second opened position; a timer for allowing the door to remain in the opened position a pre-determined amount of time before returning to the closed position; and when the door is moved manually to the opened position and allowed to close, the pin members are not engaged by the gear dogs, and travel within the free travel spaces without imparting movement to any components of the automatic door mechanism.
