Abstract:
A clamping system includes a housing, a clamping lever pivotally coupled relative to the housing, a clamping arm pivotally coupled relative to the housing and the clamping lever, and an expandable link coupled to the clamping arm. The clamping lever and the clamping arm are rotatable from an open position to a closed position. A method of mounting a device on a substrate using the clamping system is also provided.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a waterproof speaker system for use in residential and commercial applications. The disclosed speaker system is particularly applicable to wet conditions such as greenhouses, gardens, boats, and other outdoor installations or where traditional speakers are negatively affected by water and humidity. The waterproof speaker system generally comprises a solid water impermeable cast rear and side casing, and internal front frame member housing the speaker drivers and in some cases a simple electronics or amplification circuit, and a water impermeable front face panel sealed to the front frame member and/or the rear casing to completely enclose the speaker driver from contact with moisture.
Abstract:
A structural or aesthetic construction element, such as a wall section, is described herein, wherein the construction element has embedded therein an array of microphones, an array of speakers, and processing electronics that drives the array of microphones and the array of speakers. Audio captured by the microphones can be used to estimate a sound field corresponding to the construction element. Speakers in the array of speakers are configured to directionally output audio, such that a desired sound field is produced or reproduced.
Abstract:
An audio output device includes a housing, a speaker, a switching unit, a fixing component and a control unit. An opening is formed on the housing. The speaker is for outputting sound. The switching unit is installed inside the housing. The fixing component is fixed in the opening of the housing for triggering the switching unit so that the switching unit outputs a switching signal. The control unit is electrically connected to the switching unit and the speaker, and the control unit controls the speaker to output sound in a corresponding sound field as the control unit receives the switching signal.
Abstract:
An adjustable mounting assembly has first and second mounting portions. The first mounting portion has an engagement arm with an adjustable end having first engagement teeth disposed about a first axis of rotation. The end portion has an adjustable second portion rotatable about the first axis of rotation, and having second engagement teeth that intermesh with the first engagement teeth to retain the second portion in an adjustable pan-position. The second portion has third engagement teeth disposed about a second axis of rotation angularly offset from the first axis of rotation. A second mounting portion is adjustably attached at an attachment portion to the first mounting portion, and the attachment portion has fourth engagement teeth disposed about the second axis of rotation that intermesh with the third engagement teeth to retain the second mounting portion is a selected tilt position.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a piezoelectric loudspeaker. The piezoelectric loudspeaker comprises a sound producing plate, a resonant sound-box, a surround and a reflective sound-box. The sound producing plate comprises a piezoelectric ceramic element. The resonant sound-box includes a first opening comprising a first carrying part. The sound producing plate is disposed on the first carrying part. A cavity resonator is formed between the sound producing plate and the resonant sound-box. The surround is disposed between the first carrying part and the sound producing plate. The reflective sound-box includes a second opening and a reflective output opening. The second opening comprises a second carrying part. The resonant sound-box is disposed on the second carrying part. A reflective cavity body is formed between the resonant sound-box and the reflective sound-box, and the reflective cavity body is connected the reflective output opening.
Abstract:
A flat panel sound system (400) includes an acoustic backing (410) and stand-offs (412) on its back side. The stand-offs (412) are interposed between a frame (406) or housing (408) and the wall on which the sound system (400) is mounted. The sound system (400) further includes an electronic housing (414) and exciters (404) mounted on the frame (406). The electronics within the electronic housing (414) receive wireless inputs from a user interface and drive the exciters (404) to produce an audio output. The stand-offs (412) inhibit transmission of vibrations to the wall and allow acoustic waves to emanate the back side of the flat panel system.
Abstract:
A method for providing a graphical user interface on a display of a device includes displaying a photograph image on the display of the device, detecting a touch on the display, providing a plurality of control guides at a location corresponding to the touch over the displayed photograph image, in response to detecting the touch, detecting a first drag in a first direction corresponding to a first one of the plurality of control guides provided on the display, removing the plurality of control guides from the display in response to detecting the first drag, detecting a second drag in a second direction different from the first direction of the first drag and corresponding to a second one of the plurality of control guides, the second drag is performed while maintaining touch on the display after the first drag is performed, adjusting a display characteristic of the photograph image corresponding to the second one of the plurality of control guides corresponding to the second drag, and displaying the photograph image having the adjusted display characteristic on the display in response to detecting the second drag.
Abstract:
A shower assembly. The assembly may include a shower device including a device housing defining an inlet communicating with an inlet chamber, an outlet and a waterway communicating between the inlet chamber and the outlet, the device housing further defining a receptacle having a closed end and an open end, the inlet chamber being behind the closed end, the waterway extending along the receptacle from the closed end toward the open end; and a second device supportable in the receptacle. The outlet may define an outlet plane, and the second device may include a housing providing an outlet, the outlet being one of aligned with and positioned forwardly of the outlet plane when the speaker is supported in the receptacle. The assembly may further include a magnetic connecting structure operable to releasably connect the second device and the shower device.
