Abstract:
A control system for monitoring the performance of one or more spray nozzles measures variables such as liquid flow rate and liquid pressure of spray being delivered to the spray nozzles and provides a sensing signal when the difference, at a given liquid pressure, between a calculated liquid flow rate and an actual liquid flow rate exceeds an error.
Abstract:
Apparatus for dispensing thermoplastic material and configured for easy cleaning and maintenance procedures to address residual thermoplastic material in the apparatus. The apparatus includes a distribution body having an interior space for receiving a removable insert. The removable insert includes a flow passage for providing the thermoplastic material, for example, to a dispensing element. Alternatively, or in addition, the distribution body may be formed of separable portions to allow easy access to the passage and/or insert.
Abstract:
Two steering air currents that can be controlled independently of one another are directed onto the atomizing cone from the steering air ring of an atomizer for the series coating of workpieces, e.g., car bodies, wherein said steering air currents emerge at different radial distances from the atomizer axis and serve to adjust the width of the spray jet in different regions, such that the spray jet of one and the same atomizer can be optimally adapted to the respective workpiece region to be coated.
Abstract:
A spray gun and a detachable liquid reservoir releasably attached to the spray gun by engagement of mateable, non-threaded formations provided on the spray gun and the reservoir. The spray gun has an integral connector boss with a socket for reception of a connector tube of the reservoir. The boss has an external flange at the distal end and the reservoir has hook members separate from the connector tube. The hook members are co-operable with the flange when the connector tube is received in the socket to secure releasably the reservoir to the spray gun. In another arrangement, the connector tube is an interference friction-fit in the socket to secure releasably the reservoir to the spray gun. In yet another arrangement, the connector tube has bayonet lugs co-operable with bayonet grooves in the wall of the socket when the connector tube is received in the socket to secure releasably the reservoir to the spray gun. In a still further arrangement, the reservoir has an integral spout received in the socket integral with the spray gun and provided with a helical projection co-operable with the underside of a radial lug externally of the socket to secure the reservoir.
Abstract:
Dosage of an active agent in a fluid, suitable for injection in the human or animal body, is achieved by spraying the fluid by means of a spray device (1), in the form of a mist or jet onto a mucous membrane of the body, for example in the tonsillar or nasal region. The spraying device (1) comprises a connection adapter (3) with an annular seal (11) for the container (9), in particular in the form of an ampoule. Other fluids can equally be sprayed in a corresponding manner.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for cleaning a clogged or contaminated spray nozzle (10) or the filter (14) of such a spray nozzle used in coating a web of paper or paperboard. Herein, into at least of portion of the coating mix flow channel (24) of the spray nozzle (10) to be cleaned is formed a cleaning medium flow running reverse to the normal flow direction of the coating mix. The invention also relates to an apparatus suited for implementing the method.
Abstract:
An assembly is disclosed treating a moving web (1) of paper or paperboard with a web treatment substance, the assembly comprising an application chamber (P2) located in a close vicinity of the moving web (1) and facing the web (1), whereby the chamber is delineated by the web (1), the walls (12) of the coater apparatus and sealing means (18, 24, 35) adapted to operate at the web ingoing and outgoing sides of the application chamber (P2). For application of the web treatment substance, the assembly includes at least one linear nozzle array incorporating at least one nozzle (21) for spraying the web treatment substance onto the web (1). The coater apparatus is divided into chambers so that a suction chamber (P3) is located behind the application chamber (P2) as seen from the direction of the web (1) and is adapted to communicate with application chamber (P2), and a flow is established into the suction chamber (P3) and the application chamber (P2) for removing mist and accumulations of the web treatment substance in such a manner that the pressure of the application chamber (P2) is made lower than the ambient pressure and the pressure of the suction chamber (P3) lower than that of the application chamber. In the assembly, the free flow direction of substances contained in the assembly is firstly from the surroundings into the application chamber (P2) and then from the application chamber (P2) to the suction chamber (P3) and means (22) serving to establish the flow.
Abstract:
A liquid dispensing module and nozzle or die tip for discharging at least one liquid filament. The nozzle includes a wedge-shaped member having a pair of side surfaces converging to an apex. A liquid discharge passage extends along an axis through the wedge-shaped member and through the apex. The wedge-shaped member extends in a radially asymmetrical manner around the liquid discharge passage. Four air discharge passages are positioned at the base of the wedge-shaped member. At least one air discharge passage is positioned adjacent each of said side surfaces and each of the air discharge passages is angled in a compound manner generally toward the liquid discharge passage and offset from the axis of the liquid discharge passage.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a spray gun comprising the following: a gun body (1); a nozzle assembly (9) arranged on said gun body (1); a compressed air supply channel (19, 20) located in the gun body (1), equipped with a valve assembly (17) for controlling the compressed air supply to the nozzle assembly (9), a regulator (6, 13) for adjusting the supply of the spray material, an actuating element (12) for actuating the valve assembly (17) and the regulator (6, 13) and a pressure measuring device (27) for detecting and displaying the pressure in the a compressed air supply channel (19, 20), The aim of the invention is to create a practical spray gun comprising a pressure measuring device which is resistant to dirt. To achieve this, the inventive pressure measuring device (27) contains a pressure sensor (28), which is integrated into the gun body (1) and which is connected to the compressed air supply channel (19, 20) via a capillary (43) located within the gun body (1).
Abstract:
A spray gun pressure stabilizer of the present invention comprises a nozzle, a spray head and a spray gun, the spray head is threaded to the front end of the spray gun and is composed of a spray hole and air outlets at the center portion axially, the front end of the spray gun is further composed of a recess for a de-pressure ring to sleeve thereon, the recess comprises an air outlet and a de-pressure hole, the recess also has a threaded inner hole to connect with the nozzle. The improvements of this invention is to form a pipe at center portion of the nozzle, and extending therefrom a block rim, the nozzle further comprises a circular rim with a number of air holes, so that air flows through the air holes will be blocked by the block rim, which de-presses the air to provide a stabilization of air output.
