Abstract: Dual pack applicators capable of holding two separate volumes of product are described. The respective product volumes are separately accessible from opposite ends of the applicator. The applicator has an outer sleeve which holds two individual applicator assemblies. Each individual assembly has its own reservoir and dispensing mechanism and can be a pre-existing self-sufficient applicator. Each individual applicator assembly is secured within the sleeve by a friction fit or by a snap fit mechanism.

Abstract: A multi-packaging device capable of carrying containers having a range of diameters. The multi-packaging device is constructed from a plastic sheet having an array of apertures arranged in lateral rows and longitudinal ranks. The plastic sheet contains integral segments of a resilient polymer coextruded with respect to the plastic sheet or laminated on the plastic sheet. The plastic sheet may also contain a longitudinally arranged line of weakness under the resilient polymer. The resultant structure enables the multi-packaging device to maintain integrity when a large diameter container is inserted into an aperture because the resilient polymer laminate continues to stretch even after the plastic sheet reaches a stress level approaching neck-down.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for coating a moving web with a coating fluid. The coating die has at least one feed slot for supplying the coating fluid to the moving web and a front face demarked from the at least one feed slot by a die edge. A guide mechanism guides the moving web in a first direction past the coating die such that a coating bead is formed in a gap between the moving web and the die edge. The spraying system sprays a cleaning fluid on at least a portion of the front face of the slide coating die such that the coating bead forms a substantially linear static wetting line on the front face of the coating die.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel porous polymeric device (101) (103) (105) (107) (109) (111) (113), e.g., an ultraclean brush. The device includes an elongated foam member (101, 103), which has an outer surface for removing residual particles from a surface of a substrate. Among other features, the elongated foam member includes a polyvinyl alcohol bearing compound, where the elongated foam member has a calcium ion impurity concentration of less than about 1 part per million. Accordingly, the present device is much cleaner than conventional devices.
