Abstract:
Pixels for organic light emitting full color display panels are made by simultaneously depositing red, green, and blue dopants such that the blue dopant is dispersed in at least one non-blue subpixel. Method relates to using a shadow mask (which may be removable) comprising ribs which, in an angled evaporation method, can correct for parallax.
Abstract:
A sheet coating apparatus including a storage tank in which a coating liquid having charged coating particles dispersed therein is contained, a development roller rotatably installed to be immersed in the coating liquid, a voltage source for applying a voltage to the development roller, a coating roller rotatably installed in a state in which it is partially immersed in the coating liquid while maintaining a predetermined development gap relative to the development roller, and a compression roller for pressing a sheet passing between the compression roller and the coating roller toward the coating roller while securely rotating with respect to the coating roller. The coating particles adhere to the surface of the coating roller at the development gap due to an electric force to then be coated on the sheet passing between the coating roller and the compression roller. The sheet coating apparatus can prevent excess coating liquid from being coated on a sheet by regulating the amount of the coating liquid coated on the sheet, thereby attaining uniform coating.
Abstract:
A system for dispensing liquid paint components from their original containers into a paint receptacle according to a paint formula to form a liquid paint mixture. The dispensing system comprises a dispensing apparatus for dispensing the liquid paint component from its original container, and an apparatus for controlling the dispensing apparatus. The dispensing apparatus includes a mechanism for releasably receiving the original container of the liquid paint component, and a mechanism for dispensing the liquid paint component from its original container into the paint receptacle. The control apparatus includes a weigh cell and a control module coupled to the weigh cell and the dispensing mechanism. The weigh cell supports the paint receptacle to determine the weight of the liquid paint component dispensed into the paint receptacle. The control module controls the amount of the liquid paint component dispensed from its original container into the receptacle based upon information obtained from the weigh cell. The dispensing system virtually eliminates liquid paint component dispensing errors, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the dispensing system operator.
Abstract:
A cover for enclosing a door knob during painting of a door. The inventive device includes a spherical resilient knob cover assembly positionable over a knob portion of a door knob. An escutcheon cover assembly extends from the knob cover assembly for positioning over an escutcheon and shaft of the door knob.
Abstract:
A molded plastic ring having a mounting flange and a shield flange which collectively mask an automotive or truck tire during the painting of a supporting wheel. A beveled edge of the mounting flange is fitted to the wheel. The mounting flange projects from the shield flange in the range of 95 to 130 degrees. The shield flange extends from the mounting flange in a plane parallel to the wheel and overlies the tire sidewall. The ring is molded from polyethylene or other flexible materials impervious to encountered solvents, cleaners, thinners and curing temperatures. Radial slits or notches can be provided at the mounting flange to facilitate attachment and the mounting and shield flanges can exhibit arcuate curvatures, when viewed on edge.
Abstract:
A bulk adhesive handling system (10) having a hopper (16) and a lid (26) includes a vapor removal system (12) comprising a plurality of vent holes (40) formed in the side wall (42) of the hopper (16) of the system. The vent holes (40) are in communication with a venting plenum (44) surrounding the hopper (16), which is connected to a vacuum source (46). The vapor removal system (12) is adapted to withdraw gas from the hopper (16) when the lid (26) is in an open position and to withdraw air from an ambient source when the lid (26) is in a closed position.
Abstract:
A device for emptying a recipient containing a product of high viscosity, comprising an arrangement for introducing a plate, whose dimensions correspond substantially to those of the opening of the recipient, into the recipient, a pump for withdrawing this product, fast with the plate and having a withdrawal zone opening out on the frontal face of the plate in contact with the product, as well as an adjustable device for heating and cooling the plate. The said plate comprises a scraper system disposed in the vicinity of the frontal face, the scraper system being set in motion by a drive system so as to bring the product adjacent the frontal face towards the withdrawal zone of the pump.
Abstract:
A fluidizing bed tank is disclosed which has vertical walls enclosing a space, a horizontal porous gas diffuser plate between the walls, means for providing gas beneath the diffuser plate, and at least one horizontal protective screen between the walls and above the diffuser plate. The uppermost screen is at least about two-thirds of the distance down from the top of the tank to the diffuser plate. A second screen is preferably used when the heavy articles are to be coated.
Abstract:
A dross removal device including: a dross robot that is configured to collect a bath surface dross present on a bath surface of a coating bath; a dross sensor that is configured to measure an intensity of infrared light from the bath surface of the coating bath; a dross sensor control device that is configured to specify a position of the bath surface dross according to a temporal change amount in the intensity of the infrared light; and a dross robot control device that is configured to cause the dross robot to collect the bath surface dross at the position specified by the dross sensor control device.
Abstract:
An applicator is disclosed for applying sealant to a moving substrate. The applicator includes a wheel having a periphery. A plurality of spaced apart footprints extends around the periphery of the wheel and each footprint has a sealant receiving feature. A reservoir is provided for containing a supply of sealant to be applied to the moving substrate. The wheel is rotatably mounted at least partially in the reservoir such that as the wheel rotates, each of the spaced apart footprints repeatedly moves through a supply of sealant in the reservoir to pick up a charge of sealant, around one side of the wheel toward the moving substrate, adjacent the moving substrate to transfer the sealant charge to the substrate, and around the other side of the wheel back toward the supply of sealant. At least one stop is formed on each of the footprints for inhibiting sealant picked up by the footprint from being urged rearwardly on the footprint by high speed rotation of the wheel. A backstop may be formed at a trailing end of each footprint and mid-stops may be formed between a leading end of each footprint and the trailing end.
