Abstract: Multi-band phased array antennas include a backplane, a vertical array of low-band radiating elements that form a first antenna beam, first and second vertical arrays of high-band radiating elements that form respective second and third antenna beams and a vertical array of RF lenses. The first, second and third antenna beams point in different directions. A respective one of the second radiating elements and a respective one of the third radiating elements are positioned between the backplane and each RF lens, and at least some of the first radiating elements are positioned between the RF lenses.

Abstract: A system for improved cable management is disclosed in several example embodiments. The disclosed embodiments describe example structures for supporting cables, for example telecommunications and fiber optic cables, within a cable storage cabinet. The disclosed embodiments also describe a door for a cable storage cabinet. The example door includes a hinge control and handle system which allows the door to be opened along either side to therefore allow the door to be opened either way from a single handle. The disclosed embodiments also describes an indicator system which informs a user when the door for the cable storage cabinet is in either a closed position or an open position. Each of these embodiments improves the utility and safety of cable management, particularly within cable storage cabinets.

Abstract: One embodiment is directed to an open radio access network to provide wireless coverage for a plurality of cells at a site and that comprises a virtualized headend comprising one or more base-station nodes and a plurality of unified remote units deployed at the site. Each of the unified remote units is able to support multiple functional splits, multiple wireless interface protocols, multiple generations of radio access technology, and multiple frequency bands. The unified remote units and functional split used to serve each cell can be changed (for example, on-the-fly as a part of an automatic or manual adaptation process that is a function of one or more monitored performance attributes of the open radio access network such as network bandwidth, network latency, processing load, or processing performance). The unified remote units can be implemented in a modular manner with a backplane to which different radio modules can be coupled.

Abstract: A distributed radio frequency communication system includes a remote radio unit (RRU and a baseband unit (BBU) and facilitates communication between a wireless terminal and a core network. The RRU receives a radio frequency signal from a wireless terminal and convert the radio frequency signal to digital baseband samples using receiver circuitry and an analog-to-digital converter. The RRU then adaptively compresses the digital baseband samples, using adaptive compression circuitry, to create fronthaul uplink information, and sends the fronthaul uplink information over a fronthaul link to the BBU using an adaptive fronthaul protocol. The RRU also receives fronthaul downlink information over a fronthaul link from the BBU using an adaptive fronthaul protocol and generates frequency-domain samples, based on the fronthaul downlink information received. It then creates time-domain baseband samples from the frequency-domain samples and converts the time-domain baseband samples into a radio frequency signal to send to the wireless terminal.

Abstract: A method of reducing interference in a time division duplexing access point during a quasi-full duplex mode in a communication system is provided. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a telecommunications jack including a housing having a port for receiving a plug. The jack also includes a plurality of contact springs adapted to make electrical contact with the plug when the plug is inserted into the port of the housing, and a plurality of wire termination contacts for terminating wires to the jack.
