Abstract: Concepts and technologies for optical environmental filtering with intrusion protection are provided. In an embodiment, a system can include a first intrusion detection frame structure, a second intrusion detection frame structure, a controller unit, and a laser filter frame structure that is disposed between the first intrusion detection frame structure and the second intrusion detection frame structure. The laser filter frame structure can include at least one laser emitter that projects at least one laser beam that forms a laser emission plane between the first light intrusion plane and the second light intrusion plane. The controller unit can activate at least one laser emitter, and in response to detecting an object passing through the first light intrusion plane, deactivate a laser emitter to pause creation of the laser emission plane. The controller can reactivate a laser emitter before the object passes through the second light intrusion plane.

Abstract: One embodiment of a guest browser system, among others, includes a guest browser interface configured to provide an address bar interface for accepting a network address for retrieving a first web page. The guest browser interface is rendered from code of a second web page, where content of the second web page is rendered by an installed web browser. The system further includes a guest browser engine configured to retrieve contents of web pages. The guest browser engine is built from code provided by the second web page and is used to update content of the second web page with content from the first web page. Other systems and methods are also provided.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to wireless network enhancements via inductance loops as antennas. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a roadside system can measure inductance of an inductance loop associated with a road. The roadside system can determine whether the inductance of the inductance loop is greater than a baseline. If the inductance of the inductance loop is greater than the baseline, the roadside system can determine that a vehicle is positioned over the inductance loop and can utilize the inductance loop to activate a roadside area network. The roadside system can connect a user device to the roadside system via the roadside area network. The roadside system can include a connection to a network via a backhaul to enable communication between the user device and the network.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies for handling and screening incoming calls are provided. A processor executing instructions associated with a call handling service can detect that a call from a calling party is being routed, via a communication interface, to a called party device associated with a customer. The processor can obtain caller identification data that can specify an identity that is generated by the calling party and intended to be representative of the calling party when presented to the customer by the called party device. The processor can determine an interface identifier associated with the communication interface, and retrieve a call authentication scenario based on the interface identifier. The call authentication scenario can specify a storage location of data. The processor can obtain the data from the storage location, determine a call handling action, prepare a call handling command, and provide the call handling command to a network.

Abstract: Audio processing is provided to determine whether an audio issue is present within a multi-participant communication system such as a teleconference or videoconference bridge or a trunk dispatch system. Audio issues such as background noise, background conversations, or other unwanted audio that is being interjected into the multi-participant conversation and that may be dominating the audio are detected by measuring characteristics of audio samples taken from the communication ports of the multi-participant communication system. A correction may then be applied to the audio received through the communication port by a processor of the multi-participant communication system without intervention by an administrator, such as by muting the port, applying a noise cancellation to audio from the port, or time-shifting the audio from the port.

In some examples, the specified protocol type is defined by a first user input variable, and the specified geographic coverage area is defined by a second user input variable. Example methods disclosed herein also include reporting the service quality for the specified protocol type in the specified geographic coverage area to a first wireless device operating in the wireless system.

Abstract: Tags are used to recover lost objects. Each tag transmits identification information to passing communications devices, such as a cellular phone. Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for extending the functionality of a mobile device by including a cover for the mobile device with a substantial portion of the exterior overlaid with a touch-sensitive surface. Logic stored on the cover senses a user's touch on the touch-sensitive surface and transmits the touch input to the coupled mobile device. Logic stored on the coupled mobile device may receive and interpret the touch input as a function or command of an operating system, or a function or command of a program within the operating system of the mobile device.
