Abstract: A side airbag device that is stowed inside a vehicle seat and protects an occupant seated in the seat, including an airbag that restrains the occupant by expanding and deploying, and an inflator that supplies expansion gas to the airbag. The airbag includes a pre-push chamber that contains the inflator inside and deploys mainly on the occupant side (inside), and a main chamber that is connected to the pre-push chamber and deploys mainly toward the front of the vehicle. When the airbag is in the stowed state, the pre-push chamber forms the first folded part and the main chamber forms the second folded part. At the portion where the first folded part and the second folded part overlap, a sewn part joins the first folded part and at least a portion of the pre-chamber, and the sewn part is configured to break during deployment of the airbag.

[Resolution Means]
A side airbag device is provided with: an airbag disposed inside a side supporting part of a seat, that restrains an occupant by expanding and deploying in the event of a vehicle collision; and an inflator that supplies an expansion gas to the airbag. Furthermore, the airbag is folded and stored in the side supporting part in an extended condition such that the vertical direction is the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, a lower part of the airbag in the stored condition is folded a plurality of times in the longitudinal direction to form a lower compressed part.

[Resolution means] The airbag employed in the present invention includes: a first chamber (C1) which houses the inflator and is deployed outside in the vehicle width direction of the frame side wall part; a second chamber (C2) which is deployed inside in the vehicle width direction of the frame side wall part; and a gas guide (100) arranged so as to surround the inflator inside the first chamber. In addition, the first chamber (C1) is deployed such that at least a portion thereof, as seen from the vehicle side, overlaps the frame side wall part. A first inner vent is formed at the boundary part between the gas guide and the first chamber, with gas introduced from the gas guide to the first chamber via this first inner vent. Moreover, a second inner vent is formed at the boundary part between the gas guide and the second chamber, with gas introduced from the gas guide to the second chamber via this second inner vent.

Abstract: A side airbag device for restraining an occupant at an initial stage of airbag deployment. A seatback includes a side support portion that bulges out in a vehicle advancement direction on a vehicle width direction side portion. A side frame having a frame side wall that extends in the vehicle advancement direction when a horizontal section is disposed in the interior of the side support portion. The side airbag device is housed on a vehicle width direction inner side of the frame side wall. An inflator is provided on the vehicle width direction inner side of the frame side wall to supply inflation gas to the airbag. An internal vent hole through which the inflation gas flows from a sub-chamber into a main chamber is provided in a partition between the main chamber and the sub-chamber. The sub-chamber deploys so as to overlap the frame side wall when seen from the side of the vehicle. The main chamber deploys without overlapping the frame side wall when seen from the side of the vehicle.

Abstract: A curtain airbag device that allows easy recognition and correction of twisting of an airbag during attaching. The curtain airbag device can be stored in a compact manner during transportation. The curtain airbag device including an airbag that is disposed along a roof side rail of a vehicle interior, and that can deploy so as to cover a window portion on a side face of the vehicle interior, the curtain airbag device further including a cover that covers the airbag, at least, in a part of the folded or rolled airbag in the longitudinal direction. The cover is formed of a pliable fabric material of polymer fibers, and maintains the shape of the rolled-up airbag through mutual fusion of at least a part of the polymer fibers. A high stiffness portion harder than other portions and formed during the fusion of the cover is provided in the cover extending in the longitudinal direction of the cover.
