Abstract: Systems and related methods for controlling an ear stimulation device with a personal computing device, in response to determination of electrical contact of an electrode in a stimulator earpiece with an ear of a user of the personal computing device, are described. If the electrode is not in good electrical contact with the ear of the user, delivery of the stimulus is prevented and the user is notified of the status of the electrode. In various aspects, the user is instructed to reposition the earpiece or replace, clean, moisten, or apply gel to at least a portion of the electrode.

Abstract: A train includes a fuel storage tank configured to contain liquid fuel, a locomotive including an engine having an intake and configured to combust the fuel in a combustion reaction to provide a power output, an oxidant storage tank configured to contain at least liquid oxygen, and a vaporizer disposed along the flow path between the oxidant storage tank and the intake. The vaporizer is configured to convert a portion of the liquid oxygen into a flow of gaseous oxygen and provide the flow of gaseous oxygen to the intake thereby increasing the power output of the engine.

Abstract: A gastrointestinal device and methods of manufacturing said gastrointestinal device are described and include a flexible tubular structure including a layered wall, the flexible tubular structure including a plurality of at least one type of commensal microbe encased in the layered wall, the layered wall configured to allow an interaction between the plurality of the at least one type of commensal microbe and an ingested product within the flexible tubular structure, and a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end and the distal end forming a flow conduit through the flexible tubular structure; and at least one anchor structure including one or more gastric wall-engaging components configured to engage a wall of the gastrointestinal tract of the subject.

The system includes a processing circuit configured to (i) receive the data indicative of a trajectory of the incoming projectile; (ii) predict a spatial relationship of the trajectory of the incoming projectile relative to the human; and (iii) initiate a notification by the warning device suggesting a movement by the human to evade the incoming projectile.

Abstract: A autostereoscopic display system includes an autostereoscopic display configured to project images representing a left-eye view and a right-eye view of an image, an emitter configured to emit a tracer beam having a directional relationship to that of the projected images, a sensor configured to detect reflections of the tracer beam, and a processing circuit. Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems for tuning nanocube plasmonic resonators and methods for forming tunable plasmonic resonators. A tunable plasmonic resonator system can include a substrate and a nanostructure positioned on a surface of the substrate. The substrate can include a semiconductor material having a carrier density distribution. A junction can be formed between the nanostructure and the substrate forming a Schottky junction. Changing the carrier density distribution of the semiconductor material can change a plasmonic response of the plasmonic resonator.
