Abstract: Various devices, systems and methods for performing targeted sleep tracking are presented herein. Multiple digital radar data streams from multiple antennas may be received. A direction optimization process may be performed to determine a first weighting and a second weighting. The first weighting may be applied to a first digital radar data stream. The second weighting may be applied to a second digital radar data stream. The weighted first digital radar data stream and the weighted second digital radar data stream may be combined to create a first directionally-targeted radar data stream. A sleep analysis can be performed based on the first directionally-targeted radar data stream. Sleep data may be output for a user based on the performed sleep analysis.

Abstract: A method for determining one or more vital signs of a person includes recording video images of a scene with an egocentric camera coupled to the person's body, detecting and magnifying image frame-to-image frame movements in the video images of the scene, representing the magnified image frame-to-image frame movements in the video images of the scene by a one-dimensional (1D) amplitude-versus-time series, and transforming the 1D amplitude-versus-time series representation into a frequency spectrum. The method further includes identifying one or more local frequency maxima in the frequency spectrum as corresponding to one or more vital signs of the person.

Abstract: A computing device, such as a wearable device, may include a gesture sensor that generates a gesture signal in response to a gesture of a user performed while the computing device is being worn or held by the user. A calibration sensor may generate a calibration signal characterizing a degree of tightness with which the computing device is being worn or held by the user. The gesture signal may be calibrated using the calibration signal, to obtain a calibrated gesture signal that is calibrated with respect to the degree of tightness. At least one function of the at least one computing device may be implemented, based on the calibrated gesture signal.

Abstract: A method includes detecting, with a passive infrared sensor (PIR), a level of infrared radiation in a field of view (FOV) of the PIR, generating a signal based on detected levels over a period of time, the signal having values that exhibit a change in the detected levels, extracting a local feature from a sample of the signal, wherein the local feature indicates a probability that a human in the FOV caused the change in the detected levels, extracting a global feature from the sample of the signal, wherein the global feature indicates a probability that an environmental radiation source caused the change in the detected levels, determining a score based on the local feature and the global feature, and determining that a human motion has been detected in the FOV based on the score.

Abstract: Methods and systems for crowd source-based time marking of media items at a platform are provided herein. A media item is provided to first client devices associated with first users of a platform. An indication is received from each of the first client devices of an interesting content segment of the media item as selected by a first user of the platform. At least one content segment of the media item to be associated with a bookmark for a timeline of the media item is determined. The at least one content segment is determined in view of the indication received from each of the first client devices. The media item and the indication of the bookmark is provided to a second client device for presentation to a second user of the platform.

Abstract: At least one sensor signal may be received from at least one motion sensor of a head-mounted device (HMD), the HMD being associated with a user interface (UI) displaying a UI selection element.
