Abstract:
An integrated Radio Access Technology (RAT) architecture may include 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and Bluetooth links. Configuration information for the Bluetooth link may be provided over the 3GPP link to assist in the setting up and/or usage of a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) link. Bearer traffic that may normally be transmitted over the 3GPP link may be offloaded to the BLE link in a manner that is seamless and transparent to the 3GPP core network elements (e.g., the serving gateway (SGW) and packet data network gateway (PGW)).
Abstract:
Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, a fixed device performs a cell search to search for one or more cells on a network and determines a transmit power level to communicate with one of the cells of the network. The fixed device sets a frequency of updating the transmit power level for communication with a cell on the network, wherein the frequency of updating the transmit power level is reduced for the fixed device with respect to a mobile device.
Abstract:
Embodiments of an Evolved Node-B (eNB) to support Mission-Critical Machine Type Communication (MC-MTC) User Equipments (UEs) are disclosed herein. During a transmission notification (TN) monitoring period, the eNB may monitor for TN signals from MC-MTC UEs. When a presence of TN signals is detected, the eNB may refrain from allocation of dedicated MC-MTC traffic resources to other UEs for transmission during a traffic period. In response to a detection of an absence of TN signals from the first group of MC-MTC UEs during the TN monitoring period, the eNB may allocate the dedicated MC-MTC traffic resources to the other UEs for transmission during the traffic period. Starting times of the traffic period and the TN monitoring period may be spaced apart by a predetermined time difference. In some embodiments, the predetermined time difference for MC-MTC UEs may be not greater than 10 milliseconds.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is related to Multi-Access Management Services (MAMS), which is a programmable framework that provides mechanisms for the flexible selection of network paths in a multi-access (MX) communication environment, based on an application's needs. Generic Multi-Access (GMA) data plane functions are integrated into the MAMS framework to provide a virtual network connection that acts as the MAMS anchor connection. The virtual (anchor) connection is used for sending time-sensitive MAMS control/management messages. Virtual network configuration parameters are discussed in the present disclosure, which are used for establishing and setting up the virtual (anchor) connection. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for measuring one-way delay in multi-access networks (MAMS) are provided. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to wireless time sensitive networking. A device may identify, using an 802.3 protocol stack, an 802.3 frame received from a second device using a wired Ethernet connection, and extract, using the 802.3 protocol stack, a redundancy tag from the 802.3 frame, the redundancy tag including a sequence number. The device may generate, using an 802.11 protocol stack, an 802.11 frame with a subnetwork access protocol (SNAP) field, the SNAP field including an organizationally unique identifier (OUI) and the sequence number, the OUI including an indication of an Ethertype protocol. The device may send the 802.11 frame using a wireless connection.
Abstract:
Present disclosure may relate to an apparatus comprising: memory to store ran access network (RAN) load indicator information or user equipment (UE)-specific RAN condition indicator information; and processing circuitry, coupled with the memory, to: retrieve the RAN load indicator information or UE-specific RAN condition indicator information from the memory; and encode a measurement report message for transmission that includes the RAN load indicator information or UE-specific RAN condition indicator information.
Abstract:
Systems and methods to support coexistence of multi-connectivity functions in 3GPP network and non-3GPP networks for UEs and to provide traffic routing policies and coordinate with ATSSS operation in 5GS are described. The AF subscribes to a registration-state notification event. A report is sent to the AF from the PCF or NEF. The report indicates a current registration state of a UE and is triggered when the registration state of the UE changes. The report may be sent with or without PDU session information, the former of which may be based on a determination by the AMF or the SMF. Traffic steering is enforced by the MAMS among multiple IP sessions coordinated via a single or a multiple PDU sessions in the 3GPP network.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is related to Multi-Access Management Services (MAMS), which is a programmable framework that provides mechanisms for the flexible selection of network paths in a multi-access (MX) communication environment, based on an application's needs. Generic Multi-Access (GMA) functions are also integrated into the MAMS framework. The present disclosure discusses Per-Packet Prioritization (PPP), intra-flow classification, and Active Queue Management (AQM) techniques for MAMS/GMA systems. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is related to Multi-Access Management Services (MAMS), which is a programmable framework that provides mechanisms for the flexible selection of network paths in a multi-access (MX) communication environment, based on an application's needs. The present disclosure discusses dynamic traffic splitting mechanisms, cross-layer and cross access technology traffic splitting mechanisms and retransmission mechanisms, multi-link packet reordering mechanisms, and link-aware packet duplication mechanisms. Generic Multi-Access (GMA) data plane functions are also integrated into the MAMS framework.
