    Abstract: A single wiper mounted to a conventionally located, non-center wiper post is adapted to wipe a generally rectangular windshield. A primary arm and wiper blade are long enough to cover a main wipe pattern that covers most of the driver side of the windshield. A secondary arm and blade pivoted to the tip of the primary arm are continously pivoted by a drag link over a supplemental wipe pattern that covers the residual area on the passenger side. The width of the supplemental pattern remains relatively great until the secondary blade comes close to the windshield upper edge, where it is retracted to avoid collision.

    Abstract: A sun visor includes a pivot link which is mounted generally vertically on the pillar and has a plurality of pivot means vertically spaced along the length thereof. A plurality of generally rectangular sunshade links, each with a width not greater than the width of the pillar, have first ends which are connected to the pivot means on the pivot link. The plurality of sunshade links also have second ends which are pivotally connected to an end connector link by plurality of pivot means spaced along the length of the end connector link. The sun visor has a use position in which the plurality of sunshade links extend horizontally parallel with the windshield header and in parallel side-by-side relationship with another to provide a sun visor of substantial dimension to shield the occupant's eyes. By pivoting the sun visor links downwardly, the sunshade links are maintained in parallel side-by-side relationship with one another but stack one upon another in overlying relationship to provide a stored position of the sun visor in parallel overlying relationship with the windshield pillar.

A first and a second control pulley are each pivotally connected to a respective one of the guide links and offset from the first pivot axis so as to move in an arc. A first and a second flexible element each couple the vertical drive assembly to a respective one of the foot support links.     Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention have left and right guide links that are pivotally attached to the frame, typically to an upper part of the frame, and left and right foot support links each having a mid-portion pivotally interconnected with a lower end of the respective guide link. Reciprocal motion of the guide links causes the foot support links to move along a path having a horizontal component of motion (i.e. fore and aft). Left and right vertical control links are coupled to a vertical cam drive such that the vertical cam drive reciprocates the vertical control links. The vertical control links are each coupled to a forward portion of the respective foot support link such that the reciprocating control links cause foot receiving areas at the rear of the respective foot support links to reciprocate along a path having a vertical component of motion (i.e. upwardly and downwardly). In free stride versions, the motion of the guide links may be coordinated by a horizontal coordination linkage, such that the left and right guide links move equally in opposite directions, and the guide links are not coupled to the drive system. In fixed path versions, the guide links may be coupled to a drive or crank system, which may be part of the vertical cam drive. The coupling of the control links and/or guide links to the drive system or systems may be adjustable so as to adjust the amount of vertical and/or horizontal motion, and this adjustment may be manual or powered, and may be coordinated such that as horizontal motion is increased or decreased, vertical motion is increased or decreased, or vice versa. As will be clear to those of skill in the art, any of the embodiments described herein may be converted between free stride and fixed path by adding or removing the appropriate links or couplings.
