Abstract:
This invention relates to a method and apparatus for continuously coating a sheet article. The sheet article 21 is continuously driven and passes, upwardly along a vertical portion of its travel path, between two flexible blades 38 mounted on an holder 34 in such a manner that their feet are spaced from the sheet article 21.A coating composition 42 is injected into the corner 41 formed between the element 21 and the blade. The planer shape of the end zone of the blade applied against the sheet article in a parallel direction may be carried out by a pneumatic tube 40, as shown, or by other means such as flexible counterblades. The invention may be used, among others, in the coating of paper or paperboard.
Abstract:
An extrusion coater for high viscosity, thin coatings of the hot melt type, includes an elongated slot coating head across which the web to be coated is advanced under tension and includes a lead-on lip at the slot plus a fixed, unyieldable, lead-off lip having an elongated, rotatable, cylindrical rod deeply seated for about two thirds of its circumference therein and unyieldably supported on a fixed axis of rotation. A yieldably mounted, press roll with a rubber like surface forms a pressure nip with the smooth hard unyieldable surface of the rod and the rod is rotated intermittently, or continuously by power means depending on the amount of impurities in the coating media. The rod rotation is not for metering purposes but for spreading wear while overcoming any streaking.
Abstract:
A resiliently yieldable adaptor having a bore therethrough is provided with a liquid manifold passage at the inlet end thereof having a progressively diminishing depth to effect uniform flow of liquid through radial passages leading into the bore. Means are provided at the inlet end of the adaptor to insure centering of the hose coupling attached thereto.
Abstract:

The substrate treating apparatus includes a head unit configured to discharge an ink to a substrate; a supply unit configured to supply the ink to the head unit and including a reservoir having an inner space; and a pressure adjusting unit configured to adjust a pressure of the inner space, and wherein the pressure adjusting unit comprises: a first pressure adjusting unit; and a second pressure adjusting unit in which a size for changing a pressure of the inner space per unit time is greater than the first pressure adjusting unit.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a slot die coating apparatus for coating an electrode collector with an electrode active material slurry. The slot die coating apparatus includes a coating roller; a slot die comprising a slurry receiving part and a discharge opening configured to discharge the electrode active material slurry in an opposite direction on which gravity acts; an air vent installed in the slot die so that it is directly connected to a point at which the slurry receiving part and the discharge opening connect.
Abstract:
A method of coating an active material for a secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is a method of coating an active material on an electrode current collector of a secondary battery, the method comprising the steps of: disposing a guide member on each of the left and right sides based on a moving direction of the electrode current collector, and coating the active material onto the electrode current collector between the two guide members.
Abstract:
According to the present disclosure, there is provided a coating determining device of a coating head that can prevent coating defect caused by clogging in multiple successive coatings. The coating determining device according to the present disclosure can determine a coating state of the coating head, wherein the coating head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting paint, the plurality of nozzles being configured to eject the paint out of the nozzles so as to coat a workpiece with the ejected paint while moving in a direction, the coating determining device of the coating head being characterized by comprising: an image acquiring unit for acquiring an image of the coated workpiece; and a determination unit for determining, based on the image acquired by the image acquiring unit, whether coating the workpiece is implemented normally.
Abstract:

The first nozzle comprises a first-nozzle-body outlet port and a first-nozzle separator plate. The second nozzle comprises a second-nozzle-body outlet port and a second-nozzle separator plate. The end effector additionally comprises a first ultrasonic-sensor roller that is rotatable relative to the support, translationally fixed relative to support, and located between the first nozzle and the second nozzle. The end effector also comprises a second ultrasonic-sensor roller that is rotatable relative to the support, translationally fixed relative to support, and located between the first ultrasonic-sensor roller and the second nozzle.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a substrate treating apparatus including a treatment container, a pin, a seal housing, a seal member, and an exhaust port. The treatment container includes an opening. The pin is disposed between an interior of the treatment container and an exterior of the treatment container through the opening, and is configured to reciprocate along an axis thereof. The seal housing is disposed in the exterior of the treatment container. The seal housing is in close contact with the treatment container around the opening, and accommodates a part of the pin. The seal member is in close contact with an inner peripheral surface of the seal housing, and in close contact with an outer peripheral surface of the pin so as to be slidable relative to the pin. The exhaust port is in connection with the seal housing in a communicated manner.
