Abstract: A system for spraying a coating material to a substrate includes an optical sensor that monitors a thickness, a controller that generates a first signal corresponding to an amount of gas propellant to be heated, a second signal corresponding to a temperature to which the gas propellant is to be heated, a third signal corresponding to an amount of a solid powder composition to be mixed with the heated gas, and a fourth signal corresponding to a distance between the nozzle and the substrate, a first regulator that supplies an amount of gas propellant corresponding to the first signal, a heater that heats the gas propellant to the temperature corresponding to the second signal, a second regulator that supplies an amount of solid powder composition corresponding to the third signal, and an actuator that moves the nozzle corresponding to the fourth signal.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a winding apparatus includes a winding core and an air flow controller. The winding core winds a belt-shaped structure comprising a substrate and an edge-coating part that covers an edge of a substrate in a width direction, the edge-coating part being coated with a material liquid on a surface of the substrate. The air flow controller has a nozzle that performs at least either ejection or suction of a gas, and adjusts an air flow in the vicinity of the edge-coating part of the film of the belt-shaped structure, which is wound by a winding core.

Abstract: A robot synchronization sealer discharge system is provided. The robot synchronization sealer discharge system is interlocked with a robot for a sealer work of a vehicle factory and includes: a sealer gun mounted on a robot and moving along an application path of a vehicle body to discharge a sealer and a communication unit for receiving a TCP speed of the sealer gun moving based on robot operation. A synchronization controller assigns a unique ID and a received TCP time to the TCP speed and generates a discharge instruction message recording the sealer discharge amount according to the TCP speed. A sealer controller adjusts a discharge of the sealer gun based on the discharge instruction message and feeds back the sealer time according to a discharge completion to the synchronization controller.

Abstract: The present disclosure is a sheet producing device for producing a multi-layer sheet by applying a coating material to a sheet material. The sheet producing device includes a radiation light source that emits radiation light, a division part that divides the radiation light into measurement light to be incident on the multi-layer sheet and reference light with which a reference surface is to be irradiated, and an optical member that emits the measurement light onto the multi-layer sheet and receives the measurement light reflected by the multi-layer sheet. An interference detector that detects interference light between the measurement light reflected by the multi-layer sheet and the reference light reflected by the reference surface, and a thickness calculator that calculates a thickness of the sheet material and a thickness of the coating material of the multi-layer sheet based on the detected interference light are further included. As a result, the tact time from the production of the multi-layer sheet to the calculation of the thickness can be shortened.

Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to an article of apparel having a vent opening formed by overlapping the edges of a first panel and a second panel. A plurality of discrete overlay film structures are applied to the second panel adjacent to the vent opening. When the article of apparel is exposed to an external stimulus, the film structures undergo a reversible increase in dimension in at least the z-direction which cause the second panel of material to undergo a reversible decrease in dimension in the direction of a longitudinal axis of the vent opening thereby causing the vent opening to dynamically transition from a closed state to an open state.
