Abstract:
A stretch releasable adhesive article includes first and second opposed major surfaces and a pull tab, and at least a portion of at least one of the first and second major surfaces is adhesive. The adhesive article has a cross-sectional area—as measured normal to the axis defined by a stretch release force applied to the pull tab during the stretch release process—that has a defined width to thickness ratio, and the adhesive article may have a visible light transmission of at least about 90%, and a haze of no greater than 5%.
Abstract:
A stretch releasing adhesive article for mounting on a wall surface includes an elongated stretch releasing adhesive strip having a first major surface with a non-adhesive contact surface adjacent the first end, and a backplate having a first major surface including a protrusion arranged in overlapping relation with the adhesive strip non-adhesive contact surface that serves to concentrate a force applied by a user in the region of the first end of the backplate in the region of the non-adhesive contact surface of the adhesive strip. A method of adhesively mounting an item to, and removing an item from, a wall surface that is susceptible to damage without damaging the surface is also disclosed.
Abstract:
To provide an adhesive film that can be easily released leaving substantially no adhesive residue and without damaging the adherend surface when released from an adherend. A base material comprising at least a first resin film with a breaking elongation in the lengthwise direction of 300 to 1500% and a breaking strength of at least 2 kg/12 mm, and a second resin film with a lower breaking elongation and a higher flexural modulus than the first resin film is used. The second resin film can break before the first resin film when the base material is stretched.
Abstract:
A pack for adhesive sheets which a) are detachable without residue or destruction by extensive stretching in the direction of their bond plane and b) have on one or both sides a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition based on an elastomer resin mixture, wherein c) the pack is UV-impermeable and d) comprises sheetlike liner materials for the regions of the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that are to be bonded, and/or an outer packaging for the adhesive sheet, and/or an individual pack with transparent packaging elements.
Abstract:
A pressure sensitive adhesive for single-sided or double-sided adhesive sheet strips which can be redetached without residue or destruction by extensive stretching in the plane of the bond, composed of a mixture comprising a block copolymer and a tackifier, characterized in that at least one compound which is swellable in H2O is incorporated into the mixture.

Abstract:
An adhesive tape section having an adhesive region and designed as a polygon having a number of sides and the same number of grip tabs arranged around the adhesive region, or designed as a circle, the adhesive region occupying a central portion of said circle, and a grip tab occupying an outer portion of said circle. The adhesive tape section, when bonded to a substrate, forms a bond with the substrate, which bond is releasible from the substrate by pulling on at least on of said grip tabs in the plane of the bond to stretch the adhesive tape section in the plane of the bond thereby to release the adhesive tape section from the substrate.
Abstract:
A stretch releasable adhesive tape article includes an extensible adhesive strip having a non-adhesive pull tab and a shape retaining member arranged within or adjacent to the adhesive strip. The shape retaining member is repeatably manually movable between a first position allowing a user to manually grasp the non-adhesive pull tab to stretch release the adhesive strip from a substrate, and a displaced position for maintaining the non-adhesive pull tab at a position offset from the first position.
Abstract:
Redetachable, self-adhesive device having a plate, the sides and/or front side of which have fastening means, if appropriate, and the rear side of which has a strip of an adhesive film which is adhesive on both sides and is adhesively attached in such a way that one end of the adhesive film protrudes beyond the plate as a grip, the adhesive film being of such a kind that the adhesive bond achieved with it can be released again by pulling in the direction of the bonding plane, stretching the strip, characterized in that the rear side of the plate (1) has laterally alongside the adhesively attached adhesive film (5) spacers (3A, 3B), the height of which is less than the thickness of the adhesive film (5).
Abstract:
A pressure sensitive adhesive composed of a mixture comprising a) a styrene block copolymer having a star-shaped structure and a molecular weight Mw of more than 300,000 g/mol, or having elastomer blocks which contain more than 30% by weight of 1,2-linked diene in their block structure, or both, and which is crosslinkable by exposure to UV-light or electron beams, and b) one or more block copolymers composed of vinylaromatic blocks and elastomer blocks, the block polyvinylaromatic content being greater than 20%, and c) one or more tackifier resins.
Abstract:
Heat-activatable single-sided self-adhesive tape, characterized by a) a heat-activatable double-sided adhesive film strip based on thermoplastic rubber, tackifier resin and reactive resin, b) a double-sided self-adhesive tape laminated onto one side of the said strip, and c) if desired, release paper or a release film on one side of the adhesive tape.
