Abstract: Printed wiring boards, in which the insulating layer exhibits excellent peel strength with respect to a conductive layer after a roughening treatment, even when using a resin composition having a high content of inorganic filler, may be obtained by: (A) laminating, onto an internal layer substrate, an adhesive sheet which includes a support and a resin composition layer in contact with the support, so that the resin composition layer is in contact with the internal layer substrate; (B) thermally curing the resin composition layer to form an insulating layer; and (C) removing the support, when the support satisfies certain conditions (TD1) and (TD2) in a TD direction thereof when it is heated under specific heating conditions.

Abstract: A proposal is made for a label (1) which can be adhered to an article (5), more particularly to a beverage bottle, and can be detached again in a washing liquid at a washing temperature of at least 50° C., in the form of a laminate at least with the following layers: a biaxially stretched polymeric film layer (9) which shrinks at the washing temperature, a printed decoration layer (11), and an adhesive layer (13), more particularly a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, for adhering the label (1) to the article (5). The polymeric film layer (9) is designed in such a way that in the laminate at the washing temperature within a maximum time span of less than 5 minutes, in particular less than 3 minutes, it attains degrees of contraction in its two stretching directions which differ from one another by less than 50% and are lower than 50%. As a result of this, whereas the adhesive force between the label (1) and the article (5) is high, the label (1) can be washed off from the article (5) without splitting.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet for affixation to clothing, which includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on one side of a fabric substrate. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains an acrylic-based copolymer and an ingredient in a liquid or pasty state at room temperature. The percentage elongation of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet for affixation to clothing is from 10% to 300% in the maximum elongation direction under a load condition of 4.9 N/25-mm-width, and the residual distortion factor of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet for affixation to clothing after removal of the load is 50% or below.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an acoustical and thermal decoupling system (10) in a form of a polymer tape that includes a closed-cell foam layer (12) having a front side and a reverse side, a pressure sensitive adhesive (14) coated on the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12), and a release liner (16) covering the pressure sensitive adhesive (14) on the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12). The acoustical and thermal decoupling system (10) may be installed directly to a structural member of a building by removing the release liner (16) from the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12) and pressing the reverse side of the closed-cell foam layer (12) against the structural member, allowing the pressure sensitive adhesive (14) to bond the closed-cell foam layer (12) directly to the structural member.

Abstract: An adhesive-applying method is disclosed herein. The method comprises: providing a film comprising pressure sensitive adhesive coated on a major surface thereof; heating the film to a softening point of the film; and pressing the film against a substrate with an application device, the application device comprising a film-contacting portion, the film-contacting portion comprising a foam material and having a thermal conductivity of less than 1.8 BTU in/(hr ft2° F.); wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive on the major surface of the film adheres to the substrate. Application devices and kits that may be used in conjunction with the method are also disclosed herein.
