Abstract:
An electrically powered pet door assembly for use in a home or building. Each assembly includes a frame which is secured to an exterior surface of a building, a panel slidably mounted within parallel tracks of the frame, a rotatable and translational drive assembly for vertically raising the panel, a centrifugal brake for controlling the speed of the vertical opening or closing of the panel and a treadle for activating the rotational and translational drive assembly.
Abstract:
A pair of slotted, sector-shaped centrifugal weights 7, 8 are radially slidable on posts 5, 6 upstanding from a disk 4 mounted on the drive shaft 2 of a reversible electric motor 1. A cup member 11 carrying a pinion gear 13 is rotatably journalled on the shaft, and includes a cylindrical wall 11a surrounding the weights. A reduction gear mechanism 12 transmits the rotation of the pinion gear to a pivotally mounted sector gear 16, to which a linearly movable actuating rod 17 is connected. Alternatively, a plurality of sector-shaped weights 27 may be accomodated in similar shaped cavities between a pair of radially partitioned discs 24a, 24b.
Abstract:
A motor driven revolving door operating mechanism including a main gear connected to the revolving door shaft, a centrifugal brake assembly, a gear train assembly connected between the main gear and centrifugal brake assembly and a drive motor connected to the gear train assembly, the motor being disposed in the same horizontal plane as the main gear; the main gear, centrifugal brake assembly, gear train assembly and motor all being positioned within a housing in spaced, parallel, closely adjacent horizontal planes to thereby form a low-profile motor driven operating mechanism adapted for selective installation in either an overhead or floor-type revolving door installation.
Abstract:
A door operator of the fireproof door comprises a force applying end for releasing the reel of a door curtain, and a loading end for sustaining the weight of the door curtain. The rotary shaft comprises an internal (central) shaft and a plurality of external shaft coupled to each other via a clutch mechanism. The force applying end and the loading end act on the internal shaft and the external shaft respectively. A torsion spring brake mechanism is provided to resist the potential energy of the loading end by varying the inner diameter of the torsion spring so as to constantly restrain the rotary shaft from rotating, or to release the rotary shaft when the brake mechanism is subjected to an external force from the force applying end.
Abstract:
A door machine mechanism of the fireproof door comprises a force exerted end which is activated to roll a rotary axle and a loading end for receiving the weight of the door curtain. The rotary axle comprises an internal axle and two external axles. The force exerted end and the loading end are applied on the internal axle and the external axle respectively. The internal axle and the external axle are normally coupled via a clutch mechanism. A torsion spring brake mechanism is used to normally brake the rotary axle against the load of the loading end by changing the inner diameter of the torsion spring, or when the torsion spring brake mechanism is subjected to an external force from the force exerted end, the rotary axle is released. As such, the clutch mechanism is controlled to interrupt the coupling of the internal axle and the external axle in the event of the fire alarm such that the door curtain falls and shuts the fireproof door.
Abstract:
An article of furniture includes a drive device for moving a movable furniture part. The drive device includes an electric drive unit and a coupling device for at least temporarily transmitting a force of the electric drive unit to the movable furniture part, and the coupling device has a drive and a drive output. Operating between the drive and the drive output are coupling elements by which, in a first operating position, a clamping connection between the drive and the drive output and thus coupling between the drive and the drive output can be produced, and, in a second operating position, the coupling elements are movable into a position in which the drive and the drive output are not coupled.
Abstract:
A drive device for a hatch of a vehicle, wherein the device includes a first housing part which can be connected to a stationary component or to a movable component, a second housing part, a third housing part which is telescopically guided in the second housing part with an axial freedom of movement and which can be connected to the other of the movable component or the stationary component. A spindle drive comprising a threaded spindle and a spindle nut is mounted on the threaded spindle, by which the third housing part can be driven by a rotary drive and, thus, moved axially with respect to the second housing part. The drive device also includes a brake device, where the brake device comprises a centrifugal force brake.
Abstract:
A hinge for pivoting a flap, and in particular, to a hinge for pivoting a flap on a motor vehicle. The hinge aids the closing of the flap and includes two linkages or legs which are arranged rotatably around at least one axis of rotation and are connected with one another. A transmission is arranged for transmitting a torque formed during a closing movement of the hinge to a flywheel mass for the accumulation and subsequent aiding and continuation of the closing movement.
Abstract:
In an emergency brake mechanism of the present invention, a rotation input shaft is increased in rotation speed by a planetary set-up gear to centrifuge weights. Through the action of the centrifugal force of the weights, linings of the brake shoes are brought into press-contact with a fixed portion to reduce rotation of the rotation input shaft, such that a large braking power is produced for a compact emergency brake mechanism.
Abstract:
A mechanism for preventing injury to a person's (especially a child's) hand when a fast-closing door slams against a door frame or jamb. The mechanism comprises a casing which is positioned within a hollowed out portion of the door. The casing is constructed with an opening disposed along the edge of the door. A metallic pendulum is housed and suspended within the casing such that the action of centrifugal force imparted by the fast-closing door will cause the pendulum to swing outwardly through the opening. A raised metal body is attached to the side molding of the door jamb and functions to engage the outwardly swung pendulum to prevent the door from completely closing.
